Chapter 8

Before you knew it, Spencer was violently shaking your right shoulder. You hissed in pain and took out your earbuds. You opened your eyes slowly, trying not to move your shoulder lest it start to hurt even more.

"Did I hurt you oh my gosh I didn't mean to (Y/N) I'm so sor-" Spencer started before you cut him off.

"Old wound Spencer Reid. Sometimes it gets sore but you didn't know so it's okay. Just don't do it again okay?" you smiled to let him know it was okay. He nodded but didn't say anything immediately.

"So what were you gonna say?" Before he could answer, Morgan butted in.

"I'd imagine it was something along the lines of how attractive he finds you," he smirked as Reid blushed and looked down at his shoes, "or maybe that we'll be landing in 10 minutes." Prentiss and JJ overheard and tried to muffle their laughter into their elbows. You and Spencer heard them and he blushed even more. You smiled and stood to get your coffee.

"Need any coffee Spencer?" you asked, hitting the ground running.

"Uhh sure. Yeah," he fumbled. You walked to the back of the plane as Spencer followed.
"One or two sugars?" you asked as you pulled a couple of mugs from the cabinet.
"Uh three actually," he corrected you from behind. You nodded and dropped three sugar cubes into his cup. He took it graciously and sipped slowly.
"So about what Derek said," you both began at the same time. You laughed and motioned for him to talk first.
"Umm I'm not gonna lie, what Derek said does have some truth to it. I do believe that you are pretty and I do like you. So uh want to go get coffee after the case?" he asked softly.
"I'd like that a lot Spencer Reid," you answered after getting your coffee finished. He smiled with obvious relief.
"Great. Yeah great," he finally spoke and rushed back to his satchel. You laughed after you heard Morgan patting him on the back. You took your time washing your mug and then walked back to your seat. JJ and Prentiss smiled at you while pointing to Spencer.
"Five minutes til landing," the pilot came over the intercom. You sat back down in your seat and closed your eyes. After a few minutes, Spencer tapped you lightly on the arm.
"You okay?" he asked softly.
"You know it Spencer Reid," you answered with a smile. He shook his head.
"Actually I know quite a lot. Not to be rude though. I just figured you'd want to know," Spencer spoke up.
"So give me some facts Doctor Reid," you challenged.
"Well what kind of facts?" Spencer asked. You shrugged your shoulders, as if saying 'surprise me'. Just before he could start Morgan put up his hand.
"Fact-o-rama's gonna have to wait. We just landed," Derek smiled as Reid's shoulders slumped.
"Let's go," you agreed and got up from your seat. Spencer mumbled something under his breath and Morgan laughed as he brought up the rear.
