Chapter 20

Ben's P.O.V

Oh.. my.. god.. I just.. shot someone! I can't believe this is happening. I'm not dumb I knew the day would come because of where I am but.. but. I could have killed her! And OMG it's Kai's girlfriend and. And she's pregnant! Omg I just shot a pregnant woman who's dating my boss, my mafia boss! I'm dead he's going to kill me.

Shit shit shit. This is bad this is very very bad. Ellie was right what am I doing here? This was a dumb mistake and now I have to live with it for the rest of my life.... my short life because Kai will come in here and shoot me for what I've done.

I think whilst sitting in my bed, I jug my knees close to my chest and let out a heavy sigh. And then the waterworks turn on and before I know it I'm full on hyperventilating. I don't want to die. I don't want to be here anymore. I want to go home. I don't have any home to go to. I hope Ellie and the baby are okay.

I stand frozen in place, my mind screaming at me to go and help whilst my body won't move. My eyes are widen open in shock and horror and my jaw almost hit the ground. I watch at the men drag my mum into the living room, out of my sight. Finally my legs start working again and I sprint down the stairs, just in time to watch as the large man punches my mum in the face. Her head snaps to the side and her body slumps to the floor. The men keep shouting at her asking where their money is. This is bad. This is very bad. Mum cries out in pain and asks more mercy. "Pl-please! I don't know anything! Please don't kill me I have a child" she begs. Then she snaps her head up and catches my teary, horrified eyes watching her. I don't know what to do. These men are 10 times bigger than me and there's no way I can stop them just on my own. My mum screams at me to run but I can't. I can't just leave her.

That's when the man turns around and glares at me. I jump and run away as fast as I can. I grab my scooter and go down the street and across the road to my aunties house. She'll know what to do!

"What's wrong? Are you hurt? What happened why are you crying and out of breath?" My auntie asks when I run through her door. I tell her what happens and she freezes. Her eyes go wide and her face shows nothing but horror for a split second until she snaps out of it and grabs her phone and phones the police. The police drive past the house 5 minutes later.

"Come on" I shout and run out of her house.

"No wait!" She shouts after me

But it was too late. I ran into my house and dodged past the police man. Nothing could have prepared me for the sight I saw. Both my parents, laying there dead on the ground their blood spilt out around them.

"No!" I screamed. I dropped done beside them. And took my mums hand "no mummy please don't leave me! Don't go!" I cried and cried

"Daddy please wake up" I said as I shook his body. One of he police men grabbed me gently and pulled me away. My auntie was being held back at the door screaming.

"Please, god no! This can't be happening" she cried

"I'm so sorry for your loss Mam" the police officer beside me said

"This is no loss, they didn't just die! Someone murdered my little sister, I want to know why!"

"We will find who done this" the police man said

Two police officers drove me and my auntie back to her house. I sat down on the sofa in the living room whilst the police officers spoke with my auntie in the kitchen. I looked over at the fireplace. There was a picture of my mum, my dad and my auntie. I started crying. I couldn't stop staring at the picture and it only made me more sad. So I did the only thing I could think of and I stood up, walked over to the fireplace, picked up the picture and then smashed it down on the ground.
