Lurking

We were running for our lives past branches and vines I didn't get a good look but I was pretty sure we were in the woods I glanced behind us to see the current position of the lurker's they were faster than I expected and even though I was moving faster than before thanks to becoming a creek I was struggling not to get caught "move faster " yelled the female creek she was moving at light speed even with joan on her back and didn't seem to be losing any energy while me on the other hand was panting

It really was starting to seem like I would faint the world was spinning and I can't be sure but I think the female creek was getting a bit tired "get them now!!!! " yelled their leader, we couldn't keep this up much longer and the creek could tell she started slowing down then sprinted in the other direction I stomped feet into the ground to cause some friction and then ran after her the lurkers were choking on the dust I had kicked up trying to stop my rhythmic run, I found the female creek and joan under some bushes I jumped under it and immediately talking yelling to the female creek "what are we going to do now " I said worried "take the girl and run " she replied gesturing to joan who was trembling in a corner "what about you " I stated while looking outside to see if the lurkers were close "I can handle it don't worry i'll make a distraction " I closed my eyes and took deep breath's "i'm not going anywhere " I said "maybe we should go " joan breathed from the corner of our shelter I glared at her and she quickly said "I mean it's what she wants " "what are you so afraid of "I said "what do you think " she said sarcasm obvious in her voice "you can go if you want "I said "but me and her are staying, which reminds me I didn't quite catch your name " "it's lucy " she said "well lucy for some reason I can smell the lurkers coming and I can also smell that there's allot of them so we should probably face them now if we're gonna " she only nodded in response "you guys better get ready because i've fought lurkers before and it isn't easy meet me at the creek's base if you survive " said joan and then she was gone , the scent of lurkers was even stronger than before "you ready " I asked lucy she nodded in response "good " I mumbled

the scent of lurkers was so strong it's almost as if I could feel them they were really near there was no turning back now it was either life or death, "find them I don't care what it takes find them!!!! " roared a monstrous voice "1........"I started "2.........."lucy started to position herself, I could see the feet of one of the lurkers I breathed in then exhaled "3!!" lucy finished for me I jumped outside of my shelter and grabbed one the lurkers from behind lucy soon jumped from under the branches and leaves after me and then runs after the other lurkers with her teeth bared "ambush!!!! " yelled the lurker I was holding I covered his mouth with my hand and plummeted my knee into his back he let out a loud muffled screech and dropped to his knees I let him fall and ran after lucy, who was beating lurkers senseless in a clearing I could tell why she picked here the clearing to fight there wasn't near as much brush or tree's here but even with the advantage of the clearing she was outnumbered she couldn't beat them all alone so I decided to help i ran into the clearing and stood by lucy's side and started fighting off lurkers there was even more lurkers than I tought there would be and their speed is incredible no wonder we couldn't outrun them before ,a lurker swiped after my head forcing me back to reality I dodged it and hit him in his stomach just as did that another lurker jumped for my leg and earned a kick in the head they had numbers and they were using it to their advantage every time we beat one another one was there waiting, scars start to appear on my skin andi was starting to worry about the outcome of this when all of a sudden lucy lashed out and hit me in my back "get down " she yelled and started making sounds I can't describe but what I can describe though is how lucy's wolf ear's grow her light shade of fur get thicker the shape of her legs change and lucy grow in height by atleast ten times

my eyes widen in shock as lucy jump's for the lurkers

the sight of what lucy did to those lurkers was enough to give me nightmares for weeks but she was finally over and she was now back to

normal on the floor i ran over to her and started shaking her "lucy lucy " I screamed "I'm okay "she whispered

"bring me to the creek's and tell them I went full " it sounded like she was struggling to say each word "but how do I know where they are " I said lowering my voice "you'll know " she said and then she closed her eyes I picked her up into my arms and suddenly became aware of the fact that she was naked at this point I really didn't care I had other things to do like finding the creek's so I picked her up in my arms and started to run in the direction which I thought was right, before I knew it I was sprinting through the wood's with lucy in my arms moving faster as I go further getting even more confident of my directions the more I navigate after about fifteen minutes of running I started to smell a similar scent to lucy's "the creek's " I mumbled under my breath and according to the scent there was alot of them I sped up and got into a bit

of a rhythm as sprinted to wherever my nose leads me, I eventually found a huge house in the center of a clearing like the one me and lucy fought in ,rain was starting to drizzle

down I sped up my pace towards the door of the house just a little further , before long I was at the front door

panting the rain was really coming down on ,I put lucy down in a sitting position for a bit and knocked on the door after about a minute a gray haired boy about my age stepped outside he had blue eyes and light skin he was wearing a grey t-shirt and black pants,"hello " he said calmly and then he looked down at lucy and completely lost all calmness "OH MY GOD!!!! " he yelled and dropped to his knees "what happened to her " he said "uh.....she went full " I said unsure "oh so that's why "he said cooling down a little "but why would she do that she knows she's not supposed, to oh man vulga's gonna be so mad.... "he rambled on to himself after a while he realized that I was still there and said "oh sorry sometimes I talk to myself " "no kidding "I said in a whisper "well why don't we go inside "he said and got up with lucy and started to walk inside, as soon as we stepped inside we were greeted by a blond guy about twenty years old "hey junior where have you been I've been looking for yo-"he cut off when he saw lucy naked in junior's arms his eyes turned bright red as he said "what is this!!!" junior looked terrified "n,n,n,nothing sir " he said "I found her outside with him " junior said pointing to me the blond turned to me and my instinct took over and said the first thing that came to mind I "she went full " I said "WHAT!!! " he yelled more furious than before , I looked around to see a crowd had gathered the blond looked like he was going to kill someone ''calm down michael " said a calm voice everyone turned around as a woman with purple hair like lucy walked towards michael and put her hand on his shoulder "just calm down....."she repeated rubbing his neck with her hands then michael's eyes changed back to their original color of green the woman then turned her attention to lucy and walked over to her picking her up and placing her hand on her forehead "wake up " she whispered lucy immediately jumped up and yelled "the lurkers are coming " the lady stepped back with her eyes wide open "already " she said concern obvious in her voice "yes" she said "and more powerful than ever " what could this mean I thought to myself then out of nowhere a creek covered in blood bust through the door "their here " he said and dropped to the floor
