Hey hey! Admin Hurricane here. So I recently finished Azure Moon for Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Dimitri literally made me squeal out every time he came onto my switch screen sorry Claude I still love you. So for self-indulgent purposes I had to write something for Dimitri cause he babey. Just a heads up, this is my first time writing a fanfic, so if I make Dima a bit too OOC, I apologize in advance :)

"Man this is the worst," you grumbled to yourself. After being dragged out to the ball against your will, you found yourself outside alone in the courtyard. The sound of laughter could be heard ringing off of the stone columns as the music wafted outside faintly through the open doors to the ballroom. You had never quite enjoyed the idea of high society dances, and the thought of being trapped in a stuffy room full of nobles practically made you want to vomit.

"The stars are beautiful tonight, are they not?" a new voice said, startling you out of your thoughts. Looking up, you found yourself gazing at none other than the crown prince of Faerghus, Dimitri. "Oh! Your highness," you said, getting up quickly and dusting yourself off, "My apologies, I didn't notice you earlier, I was too lost in my thoughts.". You bowed apologetically, your tongue unaccustomed to speaking so formally. Dimitri laughed softly, "There's no need to be so formal with me, Y/N, we've known each other for a while now. Please, call me Dimitri." You nodded slowly, "Alright...Dimitri," you said, your words feeling foreign in your mouth.

There was a brief awkward silence, before you cleared your throat, rubbing your neck. "Well, um, you probably have a lot of people that have been asking for you so you should probably head back inside," you mumbled, motioning towards the ballroom, "I'm just gonna, uh, stay out here," you said, patting the ground. Dimitri shook his head, "Nonsense, truth be told, I myself also wanted some fresh air. Mind if I join you?" he asked, patting the ground next to you. You shook your head, "Not at all, however, wouldn't it seem improper for you to be sitting here next to me? Rumors might spread," you said worriedly. Dimitri sighed, "Let them talk, it is of little importance."

"If you say so," you said, laughing softly. You scooted over slightly allowing Dimitri to settle down beside you. You thought to yourself, maybe going to the ball wasn't such a bad idea.
