We came in into the scent of pizza after returning home from the mall, and with bags in both of our hands. We had gone back to those clothing stores and got some of the clothes he tried on. We had to go with clothes that guys wore in 2021 but looked like they could had been worn in the 50s. Elvis couldn't help himself. It was what he was used to after all.

"Wow, that smells good," Elvis commented as we both dropped our colorful bags in the sitting area near the door, his sniffer held high in the air like a dog. "If I'm not mistaken, that's pizza, right?"

"Oh, yeah. Smells like Papa Murphy's."

"Papa Murphy's? Is that a local pizza joint?"

"Sure is."

Mom came into the room from the dining room, her grey-blonde hair down, and she wore her outfit for the day, a magenta blouse and her go-out jeans. That's right - she went to the care home today. "Hey, you two," she greeted us. "Golly, bought half the mall, did you?"

"Half of this was bought by his fans, actually," I said. "He was a massive hit during his mall show, and after, people followed us around and offered to buy some stuff for him."

Her brows rose. "Really? Wow. I figured that mall show of yours was going to be a huge hit."

"It was a slam," Elvis said, grinning. "Around two hundred people were there watchin'."

I showed Mom a portion of the video I took of the show. "It was insane."

"I can see that, wow."

I put my phone in my back pocket. "Of course, he's used to thousands of people at his concerts, but too hundred is really something for a mall show, especially in that mall."

"That's true," he said, "but I'm thankful for the people that were there."

Mom cleared her throat, and I remembered that she didn't believe that Elvis was Elvis. "Well, I bet you two are hungry after your busy day. Dad's not going to be home until later, so we can go ahead and eat."

She walked back into the dining room, and then on to the kitchen. I followed her and Elvis followed me. I asked, "Did you Doordash the pizza?"

"I sure did."

I came into the kitchen and saw a pizza on the stove, a pizza with green bell peppers, onions, black olives, pepperoni and sausage on it. "Mmm..." I hummed. "You got the best kind."

"Excuse me, but what's Doordash?" asked Elvis as he stood in the entryway connecting the dining room to the kitchen. Yeah, he wouldn't know what Doordash was.

"Doordash is an internet delivery service for the restaurants in your area," I explained. "You order your food from your phone or computer and they deliver it to you. No need to call the restaurant or anything. You can also just order your food and pick it up if you want to."

"That's incredibly convenient."

"It sure is. Grocery stores do a similar thing. You can order your groceries and they bring them to you, or you can go and pick them up without the hassle of finding the items in the store."

"Wow, things got simpler as time went on, huh?"

"More like more lazy, if you ask me," Mom remarked as she got out a 2-liter of root beer from the fridge. "Because of COVID, people never leave their house because everything is done online, including Hannah's job."

"My job is online because my students live halfway across the planet," I argued. "And speaking of them..." I took out my phone again. "I need to see if any of them e-mailed me with questions to the homework I sent them." Before I even unlocked my phone, I saw a Facebook Messenger notification on there. My eyes widened. "Oh my gosh!"
