chapter one

Hongjoong's pov.

I drove my hand over the letter on my desk.
The letter was written by someone who I don't know who it is. There wasn't a name.
The person just wrote:

-We'll meet us soon.

My heart still raced. Who could it be?
To be honest it's quite exciting to get an 'love' letter when you need to marry soon...
Marry...yeah I need to marry.
I'm the crown prince and sometimes I really hate it. I need to be the king and marry a princess from another kingdom...
I don't want to marry especially not a princess or in general a woman but I can't talk with anyone about it because no one would understand that...
I'm living in the 16th century and it's hard for me especially when I would mention that I have interest in men...
Just to imagine the crown prince has interests in men that would be THE story. I would get killed for it.

I looked out of the huge window of my bedroom and looked at the ocean. The ocean really fascinates me even when I know that there a lot of ships of my kingdom who wants to kill the pirates.
Pirates are dangerous, I never met a pirate in my entire life but elderly people are saying that they're dangerous and that they could easily kill you.

Somehow they fascinate me...
„Your majesty..." My maid came in and smiled softly at me. She was kind even when she doesn't talked a lot.

„Yes Miss." I always call her Miss because I doesn't like it when royal people treat their servants terrible like they're nothing.
I doesn't really like this century. People getting hated from 'royal' people just because they were born poor. I would really change my kingdom when I'm the king but to be the king I need to marry this princess.

„Your father wants to see you." I nodded and sighed. She bow down and left my room.
I don't want that she bows down because it doesn't feel right.
I sighed and looked for the last time on the letter and left then my bedroom.

I walked the hallway down and walked into my father's meeting room. „Hongjoong."
„Yes father." I bowed down even when I was his son, everyone needs to bow down for the king. „I heard that pirates are in our kingdom." My eyes widened. Pirates in our kingdom?
„I want that you help the soldiers to kill these people." He want that I kill pirates?
„But father-" „Do you want to be the king?"
I nodded even when I would give up the throne because that's inhuman.

„Good. I expected that. Hongjoong you know that pirates aren't good people." I nodded again. When I would say something else he would shout at me. He doesn't like it when someone contradicts him.
„You will help the soldiers and you're giving the commands. I trust you my son." I nodded and bowed down. I left the room and went back into my bedroom.

I changed my clothes and grabbed my sword. I decided to walk at the beach even when it's getting dark outside. I just need some time alone.
