Micky had successfully dragged Peter and Davy into their downstairs bedroom and locked the door, ignoring the confused and slightly annoyed looks from them.

"Now why've you-" Davy started, irritated, but Micky shushed him quickly.

"Do you want him to hear us??" Micky whispered, leaning in to his friends.

"Wha- Mike?" Davy was whispering now too, Micky nodded.

"Why don't we want him to hear?" Peter joined in, and Micky sighed.

"You two haven't noticed how strange he's acting? How his accent sounds fake?" Micky looked surprised they hadn't put it together.

"You're right, 'e 'as been strange today" Davy crossed his arms.

"We gotta find a way to prove that's not really Mike" Micky told them, and Davy nodded.

"How do we do that?" Peter looked confused.

"We ask him something only Mike would know, like about him and his family" Micky emphasized his words with his hands.

"Hey that just might work" Davy snapped his fingers, pointing his fingers as he spoke.

"Hey guys? Where'd y'all go?" Mike called from the living room.

Micky rushed to open the door with a sigh, "Sorry Mike, we were just looking for something that doesn't exist" He gave Mike a sarcastic smile.

"Somethin' that don't exist?" Mike squinted his eyes.

"Y'know, like reverse racism" Davy smiled and gave a nervous laugh.

Davy decided to go first, thinking up a question he was sure only the real Mike would know. So, he waited for an opportunity, and went up to Mike in a way he hoped wasn't suspicious.

He cleared his throat, "Hey Mike?"

"Yeah tiny?" A new nickname, Davy decided quickly he didn't like it.

"Don't do that" He glared, "How many siblings did ya have again? I remember you saying your family was kinda small" Davy hoped it'd trip the imposter up, if he was one that is.

"Small? No man, my family was kinda big, I have four siblings" Mike explained, sounding a bit shocked at Davy.

"Oh really? How many sisters and brothers?" Davy prodded.

"Two sisters and two brothers, I'm the second oldest" Mike seemed to add the last part for confirmation, and Davy sighed, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing man, that's cool" Davy didn't hide the disappointment, slumping away.

-

Micky went next when the two of them were relaxing on the couch, making his question sound more like common conversation.

"Hey, how's your mother been Mike? What was her name again.." Micky trailed off, faking confusion as he waited for Mike to respond.

"Bette? She's alright, my brothers and sisters keep her busy, haven't talked ta her in a while though" Mike told him, not making eye contact.

"Oh yeah? Aren't they old enough to leave home like you did?" Micky asked, he knew it wasn't the case, but maybe he'd slip up.

"Oh sure, if ya think a twelve-year-old should be livin' alone" He scoffed, then he looked up at Micky, "Why're you and Davy so interested in my home life suddenly?"

Micky tried not to hide the slight panic on his face, "Oh, well, y'know, you're our friend and we care about you so we care about your family too" He forced a smile.
