Happy Birthday, Minari! Heres an update to celebrate Mina's birthday 💚

The girls woke up early since they had to get to the studio to have their hair and make up done since they had a mini concert for their new mini album.

"You look pretty" Mina looked up from her phone and saw that it was Nayeon.

"It's just the make-up" Mina smiled back at the older woman.

Nayeon shook her head and sat beside her. "No, you always look pretty" Nayeon smiled at her, showing her bunny teeth.

"So do you" Mina blurted out. She wanted to hit herself when she realized that she accidentally said that out loud.

"I know" Came Nayeon's smug reply. Mina rolled her eyes at the older woman. Of course Nayeon would say a narcissistic joke.

"Hey love birds, time to get on stage" Jeongyeon called to the two.

"Coming!" Nayeon replied as she got up.

Mina, on the other hand, was flustered at what Jeongyeon had called them.

"Mina, you're on" The staff urged her.

Mina quickly got up when she realized she was the only member left. She hurriedly got on stage where the other TWICE members had already positioned themselves for their intro. She squeezed herself in as the stong started playing.

The concert came to an end and the fans cheered. It was just a mini-concert at the mall but the ONCEs still came through and attended so the number of viewers they had right now had shocked them but they found it sweet that their fans still came.

The girls had sat by a table for their fanmeet. They had been sitting by order of age where Nayeon sat at the leftmost and Tzuyu at the rightmost.

It was all smooth sailing or so Nayeon thought. It irked her that there had been a sign that had 'MiChaeng' written on it. She shouldn't have minded it especially since it would just work her up.

"Aish, let them be" Jeongyeon squeezed the older girl's hand. "Let them think what they want"

Nayeon hadn't told anyone that she liked Mina but the girls had already known just by merely looking at her and Mina's interactions. The way her eyes shine brightest when she's near the Japanese girl. So Jeongyeon assumed that the older woman was just being jealous at the MiChaeng shipper.

"Mina!" A fan called out.

She turned her head to where Mina was.

"Can we get a MiChaeng selca?"

Nayeon felt her blood boil. Of course she knew Chaeyoung meant no harm but right now her head was clouded with anger and all she wanted to do was yank Mina away and hold her as she saw the two pose for a pic.

"Do a heart!" "Yeah can we get a heart!"

The two were hesitant at first, especially Chaeyoung who felt like she was holding her life on the line as she saw Nayeon in her peripheral vision.

"Mina-unnie, can we do a hand heart instead" She whispered. Mina nodded since she just wanted to get it over with.

The fans urged them to do a heart together and not a hand heart but Jihyo had stop the fans before Nayeon could even pounce on the cub.

The fanmeet ended after a while and the girls went back to their dorm. All the while Nayeon had been silent. She was supposed to be in the same van as Mina, Jihyo, Jeongyeon, and Dahyun but she changed vans and sat with Chaeyoung, Tzuyu, Sana, and Momo.

Chaeyoung felt like she was gonna die any moment when she saw the older woman enter the vehicle. Luckily for her, Nayeon didn't do anything and just remained silent as she leaned up against the tinted windows.

"Is Nayeon still upset?" Jihyo asked Jeongyeon as they saw the older woman be alone in the balcony.

"She's just being a big baby" Jeongyeon retorted.

Nayeon sighed as she looked up at the night sky. She understood now why Mina loved coming in here at night. She fished out her phone from her jacket's pocket.

Mina woke up from her short nap when  she felt her phone buzz. She unlocked it and opened the notification.

NY: i wish you were here

Mina felt her heart melt at the soft message but at the same time she felt Nayeon tugging at her heartstrings. She frowned knowing that this mean Nayeon was upset or sad.

once_0922: whats up
once_0922: are you okay

NY: i dont know to be honest
NY: i feel like i like someone, like she makes my heartbeat fast whenever I see her
NY: but i feel my heart ache whenever i think about how she doesnt like me

once_0922: i think youre stupid

Mina was even surprised at how blunt she was being at the moment but she didn't care. She wanted to knock some sense into the older woman.

once_0922: how can someone not like you
once_0922: you're Nayeon. the Im Nayeon
once_0922: you could instantly make anyone fall for you with a wink or a bat of your eye

Mina was about to type a message when the app notified her that she has to wait for Nayeon to reply before she could send another set of messages.

NY: thats just for the camera
NY: of course anyone who doesnt live with me would think that
NY: im scared that youll leave once youll get to know me irl

Mina just wanted to reach out to her through the phone and be like "its me mina and hey guess what! i still like you" despite being her roommate for a few years now.

once_0922: i wouldn't

NY: why

once_0922: because I like you

NY: no you dont
NY: you like TWICE's Im Nayeon, not me

once_0922: what difference does it make

NY: the difference is that that isn't me
NY: not the real me, that is. we cant really be ourselves in front of the camera so you wouldn't really know me

But I already do. Mina wanted to say. She knew the girl ever since they met during the Sixteen era. She loves every bit of Nayeon from her fierce and fiesty side to her soft and adorable bunny side that she loves the most. She loves Nayeon a lot, she loves all the in betweens of those sides of her. It hurt her that she can't tell Nayeon who she was since she still wanted to stay in this bubble they were in. She seeked comfort in this small bubble she and Nayeon was in whenever they'd talk.

once_0922: you're right, i dont know you
once_0922: but please trust me when i say that
once_0922: i will still like you nayeon, even if i knew you irl

She wanted to pour her heart out but the character limit had stopped her.

Stupid character limit.

NY: keep talking like that and i might fall for you

Mina blushed deeply. Those set of words were enough to push Mina. To make it her goal to make Nayeon like her back.

Too bad she was too dense of a person to notice that she had already reached her goal, that Nayeon had already liked her.
