After the weird day I had, I decided to go home and get some sleep. Well, I did a little homework first, ate some food, and then I went to sleep.

Monday morning, I sat at my desk, checking emails on my computer. My finger slowly scrolled against the mousepad as I ignored department emails, flagging things that were related to classes. Then, the scrolling stopped. I scanned over an email that was a bit different from the rest.

"Today is Club Day! Come check out all the clubs we have to offer. Want to start a club? Fill out this form and bring it to our club administrator to get started! The event is from 12pm-2pm. See you there!"

Mmm, maybe I'll start a club next year. I have a lot of extra time today, so I don't mind checking out the clubs they have in store.

I shut my laptop before getting up and taking a shower. Admittedly I took longer than usual; I had the temperature just right and I let my muscles relax as the lukewarm droplets embraced my skin. After 20 or so minutes of that, I made myself some breakfast and then headed over to my first class of the day.

Nothing interesting is to be said; it was an average English class with a competent teacher that knew how to use a computer. No complaints there. The time passed quickly and before I knew it, my books were in my hands and the click clacking of my sneakers echoed through the hall as I made my way to the cafeteria for Club Day.

The bubbling chatter of the patrons could be heard down the hall; any hallway ambience slowly faded out as I approached the large room. Opening the door, I stared wide-eyed at how organized it was. Every table was neat and in line, decorated in respect to each club's theme. Some looked professionally done while others looked hand made. The one that really caught my attention was a club with a lot of musical notes and symbols on them.

"Hey! Do you play an instrument?"

A girl grinned at me. She looked a little older than me, judging by how she dressed. Honestly, I almost mistook her for a professor.

"Um yeah, I play guitar at home." I nodded, giving her a sheepish smile.

"We're super chill, not like the other clubs with weird initiations and stuff. The only thing is that you need approval from the club leader."

I nodded, looking around for such a person. "Are they here?"

"N-not today... he got sick so he won't be making it. But he insisted to let anyone in who's interested and he'd check them out when he comes back."

Nodding again in understanding, I reached into my hoodie pocket instinctively, fiddling with the lining.

The girl handed me a clipboard to fill out, still grinning at me.

After 2 hours of checking out all the clubs, even getting some free samples, I headed back to my dorm to relax.

After setting foot in the elevator, my eyes jumped from one button to another until I found the 5th floor. I tapped the button with my knuckle and sighed, reaching into my pocket for my phone and scrolling away. As the elevator shifted and the doors slid open, I shuffled my way to the direction of my dorm, not breaking eye contact with my device. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that someone would shove me against the wall.

Two rowdy guys were fighting each other in the hallway, and I just happened to get in the middle of it! I screeched as they struggled against each other— and against me —forcing me to the floor as they threw punches and screamed at each other. I could barely breathe against all the chaos until a deep voice boomed down the hallway.

"YOU TWO GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HALLWAY, YOU SHITHEADS DON'T EVEN LIVE HERE!!"

The guys froze in their tracks, perking up and standing tall. A masked guy with short, dark hair partially tucked into his beanie stormed his way to them, taking one of them by the collar.

"I work too goddamn hard to make sure this floor is the safest in the whole building and you two are fighting over pussy again. SHE'S LOOKING FOR ATTENTION, SMARTASSES!!"

He lets go with force, knocking the fool back and nearly throwing him to the floor. As he does this, his hand is outstretched toward me. I take it and allow him to help me up.

"You two are fucking banned. And also, you deserve better. Love yourselves. If I see you two again believe me, you won't see again."

He pointed to me.

"And apologize before you leave, you almost fucking killed someone today."

The brutes apologized to me before they scrambled into the elevator. The guy turned to me, apologizing with his eyes.

"I could've sworn I told them not to do that anymore. I'm sorry, (Y/N)."

I nodded in confusion. It wasn't that I was shocked he knew my name, he was my RA and he was supposed to. I just feel like I've seen him before.

"How's the Chem homework? Did you practice those sig figs?"

Admittedly I had zoned out for the time being, but the sig fig thing slapped me like a racket to a tennis ball.

"George!?"

"Eh? What?" He slowly blinked a couple times. "Oh the mask? I'm fine, it's just a cold."

He removed his beanie and ruffled his hair before putting it back on.

"If you didn't do your homework yet, you should probably do it now before I sneeze on you. I got a big one coming."

His voice began to distort as, indeed, a sneeze was coming.

"Oiiiii, I did it already. Geez."

He turned away, sneezing into his mask.

"Cool. Good. Stay out of trouble."

He turned on his heels and went on his way.

How the fuck did I forget he was my RA...
