Naomasa tsukauchi POV

there are some days I really hate my job and today is one of them.

a certain kid committed suicide by jumping off a roof late yesterday and wasnt reported 'till morning. the scene was a bloody mess and the small glimpses of the suicide note was almost too much.

the kid no more than 11 had killed himself for reasons unknow so far, we suspect he was probably bullied as we found out he was quirkless. we have no idea it bad to be for him to do this, he was known as one of the happiest kid in the world by my department and we never saw any of the warning signs.

he was constantly seen at hero fight sites with his notebook and pen, he would always greet us if he saw we weren't busy and he even drew us each a picture and a department picture when he was younger. he told us he was working on some better ones and that once they're done he would give them to us, I guess ill never get to see what he was working on now...

the note was worst of all, he apologised to everyone directly. the suicide note was almost an entire notebook with the exception of a few pages filled with his analyses but there were apologies addressed to each member of the office individually, it was just so personal. and we were going to have to show each one addressed to one person and one person only to everyone, we didnt even know his name until today.

izuku Midoriya, his name was izuku Midoriya. 13 years old, one family member in the picture, quirkless, shy but smart as hell and as happy as can be. well that last part is clearly a lie, I wish we knew. I wish we knew anything, he would be out on his birthday watching hero fights, not even mentioning it and acting like it was just another day. he clearly has something going on that has made him do this but we have no leads, someone who we considered almost family and we had zero leads!

we didnt even have a body! there was just a pool of blood which we confirmed to be his! we suspect organ harvesters found him and decided to salvage what they could! we have nothing on them either! inko is going to have to bury an empty coffin!

in the short time in which we found it was him the office banded together and tried to find ways to support her, it cant be easy. It hurt us but it might destroy her. the kid now know as izuku constantly talked about his mother, he loved her to death and by the sound of it she felt the same way. we will have to read the note addressed to her as well, we all agreed that izuku was one special kid. he always thought of others and ways he could help people, he volunteered to escort abused kids in the back of the police car so they can relax and have someone to talk to, izuku was the sort of kid you found you could talk to about anything and even though he probably wont understand he'll find a way to say all the right words.

he deserved better! we've got no way to find what happened now and he could be alive for all we know! its wishful thinking but he could still be alive, if he somehow survived a fall from that height then he would be questioned on it. I just wish he survived.

"tsukauchi?" I was dragged from my thought by one of my officers calling for me.

"yes? what do you need?"

"we have contacted the heros addressed in I-izukus... letter..." his speech slowed and he stuttered when he reached towards his name, this officer had only met him a few moths ago but he quickly got attached to the broccoli boy. I silently chuckle at one of the many nicknames we gave him, its not going to be the same without izuku approaching us after hero fights.

"who is here so far?"

"the underground hero eraserhead sir. should I send him in?"

aizawa had met the kid once or twice and it was clear that he was one of his favourite heros, only coming 2nd to all might in his rankings. im not sure how the sleep deprived hero will take to this but I dont know what the letter to him contains yet, we all agreed we wont read the letters until the person it was addressed to read it out of respect for izuku. his quirk analysis is in the same notebook as it was fairly recently he got to see his quirk in action, even if it was only in one of the police training exercises. there is also a few of his colleges in there too so he will hopefully show them what he wrote about their quirks, this kid could've made a big impact on the world but for come reason he cut his life short.
