Chapter 8. Esmeralda

6 Month's Later

For the past few month's Jason and i have been spending more time together especially during weekends, Coco became more distant each day and i finally confronted her about it, turns out i just spend too much with Jason.

So that's why I'm currently at home right now on a Saturday and enjoying the fresh air with Coco and we're sipping our local passion fruit juice. The school decided to give us a three week break as we have exams coming soon.

Jason will be joining too as he said he has something to talk about so he'll be dropping by later.

As we were sitting out enjoying the sun i heard someone calling my name and u became. Because they were calling my real name.

"Esmeralda! Where is that child " Shit. Mom. Oh my god. "Um Alexis i think there's someone in the house" Coral said. No shit Sherlock. "Stay here, it's my mom. I totally forgot they were coming" i said..."but why is she calli-" I didn't even let her finish her sentence as i bolt for the door, since i already knew where it was heading.

When i entered the living room i saw my mom sitting on one of the couches. "I see you've make yourself comfortable" her head shot up to me and i couldn't hide the huge grin that was spread on my face. "Es, oh my god I've missed you so much baby" she said while giving me a tight hug. "Where's my hug" i heard my dad voice come from behind me "Jelly" my mom muttered under her breath while dad hugged me forming a huge group hug.

After showing my parents to one of the guest rooms we made our way to the back garden so that I could introduce them to Coco, only to find out she wasn't alone. Jason was here too. "Hey Lexi" Jason said, i smiled. I saw him observed behind me and and a frightening expression came across his face and disappeared in seconds that i almost missed it.

"Lexi??" My mom said in confusion, o turned around to give her my big googly eyes to play along "yeah mom...they said Alexis is too long so they gave me a nickname" luckily for me as soon as i said that dad knew exactly what was going on.

"Well hello, I'm George and this is my lovely wife Brenda and we're the Beans family" my dad said suppressing a laugh. Bean's seriously he could've just said he is the Mr. Bean, urgh anything to embarrass me.

My mom being the slower one finally caught up on why we were using fake names instead of our real one's. My Dads actual name is Jefferson and mom is Rosie, yeah yeah my name is Esmeralda and we're the Potter's.

"Hi I'm Carol-" jason nudged her "sorry I'm Coral and this is my brother Jason" huh that's weird, after introducing them we all went to the living room and as i was about to order Chinese for dinner mom volunteered to cook something claiming that we probably haven't eaten any home cook meal lately, more like never.

Coco and i volunteered to help mom with cooking, leaving dad and Jason together.

Jefferson Pov (Mr Bean)

"Jason right?" I asked, "Yes, Jason Gurm" he said. "So, do you go go college here too?" i asked the boy sitting on the couch next to me.

He looked familiar, but i just din't know from where exactly. "I'm actually working here on a miss- " he coughed "sorry, my boss just opened a new business here so i was sent to work here, since my sister was already in the country i thought it was a blessing in disguise to be closer to her" he said with a small smile.

Well that's bull crap, seeing straight through his lie i just nodded. He could've come up with a better lie than that, I've been in this industry my whole life and the first tactics you have to be pro at is remaining undercover well, especially if you want to keep your family safe, i took out my phone to text my assistant James.

To James: Find out EVERYTHING you can on JASON GURM. Might be a fake identity, his sister name is Coral and is attending college with Esmeralda.

From James: No problem Mr. Jeff

My assistant is the only person out of the family that knows about Es and he has proved to us for fifteen years that he could be trusted, he's practically considered family at this point.

Alexis Pov

"So ladies... pizza it is?" My mother asked while chuckling. If you're wondering what happened with cooking, well my mom isn't the best when it comes to cooking either, back at home it's usually Dads job to cook.

(HERE) Somehow Coco and i messed up the egg salad by adding plain yogurt instead of mayo, in our defence mom told us to add the white substance she found in the refrigerator and for my mother she was planing on making spicy beef and somehow she poured half a bottle of tomato sauce in the pot. It's official the Potter's can't cook even if our lives depends on it.

"Pizza's here!" My dads head popped in the kitchen. "But i haven't called the pizzeria yet" my mom said confused. "Darling i saw you and Lexi over here walking in the kitchen, i knew nothing would've been edible" dad said with a teasing smile.
