"Here is your detention slip," Princaple Berkins handed me, "You will find it in room 306. I hope you learned from what you did." she plastered a cheesy smile on her face, "Mr. Hopkins will be glad that he get's to meet you, Lily."
I stared at the princaple in the navy blue blazer, tight bun, red lips, and a matching skirt. I didn't like her. I didn't like her one bit, "Thanks." I mutterd throwing my backpack over my shoulder.
"Be good!" she called as I slammed the door leaving her in the fake leather office chair.
I went to my locker and pulled on my leather jacket that didn't match the uniforms of Gateway School of the Arts. The "Arts" part in the title is a lie. They will take anyone who can do anything weird, and I mean anything. This one kid can sculpt a mini Eiffel Tower out of cookie dough. How is that a talent or an art?!
I took off the uncomfortable dress shoes and put on my black combat boots. I didn't care if the school said I need to wear black dress shoes... But I am wearing black shoes! I shoved the shoes into my locker and threw it shut.
"Someone is angry." Regan Michelson's voice whispered into my ear.
I looked back at the tall, skinny, strong football player who was my best friend,"Mrs. Berkins gave me detention." I grumbled.
He started laughing, running his hand through his wavy black hair, "Not my fault you called Mr. Saunders a complete idiot."
"Well, it's not my fault he is." I smiled up at him teasingly.
"Sorry kid, but this is my stop." Regan stopped in the doorway of Miss Jasper's class, "See you later." he spun in winking at me.
I rolled my eyes, but continued down the hallway to the flight of stairs that led to the basement. I jumped onto the rails and slid down landing perfectly on my feet, "Miz Marshall, you know how to use stairs." Mr. Hopkins stood over me, his balding head glinting in the dim lights.
"Sorry." I said like a child.
"I expect you to get along with the other four students of the class room." he added, "Knowing that your a delinquent as well.''
I was about to glare at him until I realized that if I did, I would get in even more trouble, "Thank you for that compliment, Mr. Hpokins. Excuse me, but I need to get to the class room." I passed by him, making sure I had an air of confidence as I walked down the hall way.
I slipped my hand on to the door and opened it, showing four students scattered around the boring white room. The all raised their heads from their desks. One face I reconized, Natha Fields. He was the school heart throb. I nodded to him, and took the seat to his left, "Hey, Lily." he whispered to me.
I smiled at him, "Class." my mouth was open but Mr. Hopkins filled it, "I need to go fill in for Mrs. Gray. Please, be good." he turned and walked off.
"What do we do know?" Faith O' Hare. The dumbest girl in school asked.
I thought for a minute, "Truth or Dare.I know, little kids play it. But it would be fun." I looked around at te faces.
"I guess we could." Blake George said.
"I'll go first! Nate, truth or dare?" I said looking over at him.
"Erm... Truth."
"Have you ever dated two girls at the same time?" I smirked.
"Once," he muttred, "Oliva Collins and Ellie Harris. Chloe, truth or dare?" he looked towards the girl in all black.
"Dare," she kept her head on her desk.
"I dare you to write a note to Mr. Hopkins saying how much you hate him. And, you must sign it Princaple Berkins."
"Fine," she took out a piece of paper and jolted something down and set it on his desk, "Lily, truth or dare?"
My palms were getting sweaty, "Dare," I croaked.
She smirked, "I dare you to get on the inercom through the phone and annouce that it's a half day."
"I, uh, I can't do that." I stuttered.
"Fine then, you will have to tell us your deepest darkest secret." Chloe was fingering a pencil.
"Okay, I have a crush on Regan Michaelson." I blurted out.
"Everyone knows that." Chlor rolled her eyes.
"I didn't!" protested Faith.
For the first time. The cute boy sitting in the back row in the left corner spoke up, "Cause' your dumb." he muttered.
I whipped my head around, "I'm sorry, didn't catch your name." I smiled at him.
"It's Blake George. What's yours?" he leaned forward resting his head on his arms.
"Lily Marshall." I twirled a piece of hair around. Yes, I know, I looked like an idiot, "Blake, truth or dare?"
"Can I do both?" he asked leaning back, tucking a pen behind his right ear.
"Nobody said you couldn't." I shurgged turning to the others.
"I don't care." Nathan said.
"Okay then, I want to know, would you call Mr. Hopkins an old, ugly, stupid, retard?" I smiled at him.
"Course, it's the truth." Blake didn't looked fazed at all.
"I dare you to do it when he comes back." I cracked my knuckles.
"Why not?" Blake smiled back at me, "Alright, Faith truth or dare?"
Faith thought for a moment , "Both, so I can get it over with!" she squealed.
"I dare you to run around the intire school... On a weekend. Also, who do you like better, Regan or Nate?" Blake sat there with a smirk on his face.
"Nate," she muttered, "But I will do the dare... Nate, you only have to do a dare now." Faith smiled.
"Fine, what is it?" he muttered.
"Tell Oliva and Ellie that you cheated on both of them." Faith started giggling.
Nate sighed and pulled out his phone. He quickly texted them both, "Happy?" he asked. Faith nodded, "Chloe, you have to da a truth now."
"Okay then, what is is?"
"Will you go on a date with me?" Nate asked.
"Heck no!" Chloe screams, "That's so gross!" Chloe turned to look at me, "Your the last one, and it's a dare."
I smiled weakly, "What's ot going to be?"
"I dare you to dance and sing on top of Mr. Hopkins desk." I watched everyone pull out their phones, except for Blake.
"Okay, I'll do it," I stood up and tottered over to his desk and climbed on top, "Ready?" They all nodded, I sang "Applause" I sang Lady Gaga's song word for word. It's the first song that came to mind.
Right as I was finishing up, Mr. Hopkins swung the door open. I was about to scream, but my mouth went dry.
After an hour of talking in Mrs. Berkins office I was sent to detention with the same kids... For the next three weeks.
