Have you ever been on the end where the woman ain't handling her man so he calls you, his friend?
Asking, "when can I see you again?"
Without thinking, I replied "tonight!"
Our last encounter was more than alright
Something like amazing-blazing GDP
Reminiscing about the old you and me
15 and 18 doing grown people things
Oh I remember
Young and tender, those were the good days
Didn't know purple haze just yet so technically I wasn't really thinking
But we're older now and I ain't stupid
Just like before you'll say something to get me to your door, and I appear
You never waste time
You ring all my bells, I sip all your wine
I nickname you Captin Hook
We laugh, we sleep
Probably another round before the sun comes up
We grab brunch, that's it!
That's how we go
So I stop believing and dreaming that we were on the same page
We go through the same cycle just on different days
Would be lucid to think you wouldn't creep with me then go home to your wife to be
But if she's Queen B, that's supposed to be enough
Why do you keep coming back to me?
Sometimes I wonder, am I holding gold, or am I making it easy for him to be sleazy?
