Waking up to the sound of my alarm clock going off, I rolled over in bed annoyed being that it was another day at this boring ass school.
Getting out of bed, I slipped on my slipper and walked over to my dresser, before Taking my prescription pills, I looked in the mirror and whispered a silent prayer.
Always start your morning and night off with a prayer, because you will never know what will happen during the day, or through the night.

Mom and my two little sisters were already down stairs eating breakfast.
" Well I'm glad you came to join us" momma smiled, as I walked into the kitchen area.
"Good morning mom" I smiled back.
" well good morning Pumpkin, this morning we will be eating turkey bacon, eggs. And your mothers famous cheese grits." She said, while handing me a plate.
"Why thank you, mother"
Mom and I sat at the kitchen table chatting it up as the time went by.
" its getting late, how do you plan on getting to school pumpkin?" Mom asked, as she gathered the used dishes on the table.
" I'll catch the city bus mom" I implied, making her face frown up at me.
" I will not let you catch that bus too school !" She stated, making me roll my eyes.
" mom come on, I am literally grown. Why can't I ride the bus?" I questioned.
" Don, I dont want the same thing that happened to me, happens to you" she reassured. " please just respect my decision"
Years ago, before I was born or even thought of, mom didn't have a car nor any other way of transportation other then the city bus. Well one night, after a long day of working, she had to catch the bus to my grandmother house. She said, that day was the worst day of her life. The bus driver drove her and the other passengers into a river. Only 5 out of 20 people survived.
Word had came back that the bus driver was, under the influence of drugs and had lost control of the wheel. I am so grateful that my mother and some others had survived the accident, but also my heart goes out to the other passengers who had lost their life. My decided long ago, that she will never step foot on a city bus ever in her life. She hardly wants me to ride the school bus, so I know she's not going for the city bus.
" Recce will be taking you to school" my mother said, as she hung up the phone that laid on the coffee table of our living room.
" no mom, its fine I can wa-
" Don, I rather you not finish that sentence. Now I already made arrangements for you to ride with Reece, end of discussion."
Reece, is my ghetto ass cousin. We are in the same grade, we just go to two different schools now. She goes to Dekalb community high school, because of Her behavior. ---
Reece is known for fighting and cutting people up, she's known for being armed and Dangerous. You couldn't really blame her being by the way she was raised.
Aunt Carson, my mother's sister is terrible, She's on drugs and just a junkie. Half the time she doesn't even know she's in the world.
Reece is my favorite cousin though, it's just sometimes she embarrassing.

While Waiting outside my house, a blue car pulled in front of my house, It was Reece.
" Hey Growll ! " Reece waved, while beeping the horn with her other hand.
I walked over to the car and got in, putting on my seatbelt.
" how you doing my girl ?" Reece said, as we pulled off from outside my house.
"I'm doing, how about you?" I responded back.
" girl you know, jus taking care of Tage and Kardel." Reece said.
Tage and Kardel, is Reece's younger brothers. Reece is literally their Parent.
" how's things going on with them?" I asked, as I turn my focus towards her.
" I mean, it's still a handful being that I'm still in school and shit. Other than that I still gotta make a living, I mean I gotta provide for them some how. It's not like Carson junkie ass can do anything. All the money she gets goes to dope, and liquor. I'm telling you, it's not a damn day Tage and Kardel seen their mother sober" she explained, making my heart ache a bit.
I wish I could really help Reece out, but mom said it's already hard enough on me that I got watch my little sisters half of the time.
" I know Things gone work out Don, I already got shit planned out fa the future" Reece Insisted, making me give her a slight smile.
The rest of the car ride was silent. Soon Reece had pulled up at my school making my heart pound, being that today I have a move to make.
I don't know if should approach Him, or he approach me?
Dosing off into a deep think, I was sudden shocked out by Reece tapping my leg.
" you hea girl " Reece said, making me look up.
" thank you Re, I'll see you after school?" I questioned.
" sure " she said .
