Lizardmen (Chapter 7)

Ligma was eating eggs and pancakes peacefully in the lunchroom with some of the maids. They kept staring at him surprised he would eat in such a place. Right when Ligma was getting at the best part which was the pancakes a portal opened below him and made him fall through. Ligma fell into a swamp and his fancy coat was coated in mud making him look in the sky.

Ligma: OH NOW YOU SHOW YOUR JEALOUSY AT LEAST I CAN SCREW MY WAIFU WITHOUT A STRAP ON!

Ligma started walking through the forest mumbling to himself. As he past a few trees he appeared as a lizardmen child with black scales and a grey under belly. Ligma walked for ten minutes through the muddy forest before he arrived at the village. Ligma was surprised that he could just walk in without no one noticing. Ligma saw two lizardmen walking around openly talking about their plans against the undead army. Which was in simple terms the tribe leaders is forming a command group and when the commander appears they kill them. Sadly before Ligma could hear more a white lizard girl appeared in front of him.

???: Hello there young one are you worried about something.

Ligma: *nervously* I heard that scary monster say we all are going to die. Is it true?

???: No no we will win after all we have hope.

Ligma: What's our hope?

???: A man that wields frostpain with him we cannot lose.

Ligma: What's his name mrs?

???: His name is Zaryusu Shasha.

Ligma: Can I talk to him my momma and papa went out but never came back. I want him to find them.

???: (hugs Ligma) Oh you poor child. I'm sorry but I don't think he can help with that.

Ligma: *tears up* But I want my mommy and daddy back.

???: I'm sorry if they went in that forest to fight the undead alone then there isn't nothing we can do.

Ligma: Then who will raise me?

???: You can stay with me a while.

Ligma: Really!

The lizard who took Ligma under her care was called Crusch Lulu who seemed to love that lizardmen she talked about called Zaryusu Shasha. When Ligma meet Zaryusu the lizard tried to act like a father so Ligma played along. As it turns out noone questions which village tribe Ligma hailed from which surprised him usually when he went undercover in guilds he had a whole back story when applying even disappearing for months away from Nazarick to sell his new persona. Or he spied on the rival guild members so when he copied them he could go in the base when they was offline since his mask made it appear he was one of them even on the data boards. The downside was he couldn't be attacked or his true form would show but being a ghost he learned a trick to quickly appear as that person but without the hidden buffs the mask gave which made detect skills useless. Ligma found he didn't even need his mask to sell his act because they didn't have detection magic. Over the four days Ligma was with them he found their traditions interesting the fact they was warriors with honor reminded him of Touch Me. For example one his second day he found out that Zaryusu didn't really believe they could win but fought anyways. But it turned out much to his surprise Zaryusu wasn't exactly like him because turns out this battle was also a way to thin out their numbers so when they go into hiding food wouldn't disappear. Touch Me wasn't the type of person to think like that he was a all or nothing person he believed in fair fights with everything one the line and was a literal white knight but didn't he shy away from unfair tactics if the enemy was also playing a bit dirty aka when players made a massive raid army and Rubedo was used with Victim's debuff. Although it wasn't his plan to create Rubedo he didn't protest having her. Ligma found himself comparing the village to his guildmates but he knew one thing they had a chance at winning with sheer will alone which reminded him of the power of friendship. Ligma made sure to rob those type of players blind or kill them for fun a action Touch Me scolded him for. Ligma was sitting the roof of a watchtower in the final day of his small undercover op. Crusch Lulu urged him to come down and hide with the rest of the children but he told her he was watching the fight because he wanted to see how cool Zaryusu was and he told her he would run if they got close. Ligma was about to warp her mind but she had to go with the other tribe chiefs as they commanded the head hunters. Ligma almost laughed at how quick she left but when thousand of undead are attacking she had no time to put him in with the others.
