Ligma was walking around killing low level demons with a bored stare as Shalltear followed him down the street in the few minutes he was in the wall of flames that only small demons attacked him in. He found a warehouse full of children asking where their parents was. Ligma remembered two NPCs who most likely wouldn't want kids to die or be used in Nazarick so he ordered Demiuge to put them in the warehouse so he can look like a hero and to put them on the land he was being given as part of the project. He even thought about having Yuri teach them. The children were crying about their parents but half of those parents was already in Nazarick being killed right when they reach the tomb.
Ligma: My name is Balls Woodwick I will lead you all to safety.
Female Child: Where's my mommy at?
Ligma: I don't know but I need to get all of you to safety. Tear use fly to watch over the area and spot incoming foes.
Shalltear: As you wish.
Shalltear uses fly and the children seem amazed by this as they followed Ligma. On the way as they was near the end of the barrier hundreds of low level demons blocked the way out.
Ligma started killing them as fast as the children could blink and even made a show out of it for them as he killed a large frog demon. Ligma pointed outside the barrier and at first the children thought it was real fire until Ligma and Shalltear walked through it and one kid gained the courage to go through and then the next did on the outside of the barrier Ligma saw Gazef with a army behind him along with the king and a fat prince.
Ligma: Head Warrior why did you bring the king here?
Gazef: He can't stand for a attack on his kingdom a attack on them is a attack on him.
Shalltear: Well then he will die braver than most. The monsters in there are wide in number with some powerful beings that is more powerful than your head warrior.
King: I understand but I would be no king if I sat and watched this happen.
Ligma: Tell me Head Warrior can you spare a dozen men to guide these children to a safe place away from this barrier?
Gazof: (points at ten soldiers) You ten bring these children to Princess Renner.
Soldier: Yes Head Warrior it will be done!
The ten soldiers guide the hundreds of child to come with them as the kids talked about how cool Ligma was when he killed the demons. Ligma and Shalltear went with Gazef and the army behind him through the flame barrier. As they went down a street a giant flying demon blocked their way and Ligma jumped in the air and sliced it in half
Gazef: Impressive you took down that demon like it was nothing.
Ligma: Because it was I would fight the leader but I'm leaving that to Momon but if he does die I'll fight the demon myself. But right now saving the civilians is the best action the children need their parents.
Gazef: You know please forgive me for saying this but I heard you was greedy and didn't help Blue Rose unless they recommended you as a adamantite adventurer.
Ligma: It is true I said that but the reason was because I knew they would relent and so I could spread my name to help those less fortunate and be someone they can look to for help. That is why I'm using my reward to give the poor land to farm on for food. Sadly since people don't trust someone with nothing to gain so I'll take a small portion of the crops they grow and invest that into the land.
