Amy crossed her arms and watched, for the fourth time, Esther work to stitch together yet another wound on yet another patient. Esther had had four patients dumped in her hands in a matter of a week or so, but she had remained agreeable and tolerant throughout it all.

Even though this man's wounds were definitely the worst out of all the four previous victims. His left arm had been hanging useless when he'd arrived at the office, and soon everyone saw why -  there was a surprisingly deep gash slicing along the top of his collarbone that wound up his shoulder and down to his shoulder blade. There were dark bruises on his ribs that were unquestionably from someone's foot repeatedly slamming into him, and a deep stab wound that was still bleeding was positioned directly above his right hip. Several smaller cuts were scattered along his arms and legs, as if someone had thrown a thousand shards of glass at him. What Amy found most strange and oddly concerning were the unusual, bloody burns on the man's palms.

Even weirder was the girl that had apparently showed up in the place of the falling meteor (the man had supposedly appeared with her, but the girl was definitely weirder than him.). Though she looked to be about seventeen or eighteen, she was a whole head shorter than Amy, which meant that she was just shorter than Falte. Her hair looked like a piece of the galaxy - it was a dark black that melted into deep purple, and bright white spots and diamonds dotted the waves. Even stranger was the fact that it was constantly moving, rolling and whirling around the girl's head as if she was underwater. Her eyes were a sheer white, and the pupils were shaped unnaturally like diamonds. Three golden, star-shaped tattoos were situated in a triangular shape on her right cheek, and similarly colored stripes ran shortly down her cheeks underneath her eyes. Bandages were wrapped around her right arm and right thigh, though she didn't seem to be injured. The bandages held small pouches of short blades in place, and Amy had to praise the girl for being ready in such a way. Her clothes were abnormal - a light purple crop-top and baggy brown pants that were rolled halfway up her calves - but that was hardly compared to everything else about her.

Another bizarre thing that Amy noticed - there were beginning to be a lot of strange things that Amy could point out - was that Shintaro seemed to be just as concerned for the man stretched on the medical bed as the guardian had been when his son had fallen unconscious upon arrival. Shintaro was pacing on one side of the room, occasionally glancing down at the man. His sharp yellow eyes were frantic and confused and concerned all mixed into one emotion that seemed to be quite overwhelming for him. Every so often, he would stop, clench his hands, huff shortly through his nose, and continue pacing. Even as he walked back and forth, he couldn't seem to find a position for his hands to remain in. For a while, it had been one arm wrapped around his middle and the other pressed against his mouth, then it had been his hands fidgeting in front of him, and now they were shoved into the pockets of his pants. Apparently, the fact that a falling piece of rock with two humans inside had nearly struck the gates of the kingdom was very shocking for the guardian.

Amy still wasn't quite sure what had happened yet; no one had decided to tell her. The only thing Amy knew was she'd woken up in a panic to a dull boom rumbling through the castle and sending her into a frenzy. The last time she'd heard a sound like that, she'd ended up pinned beneath fallen rubble, calling for help that didn't arrive for two days. But after realizing that she wasn't trapped underneath the ruins of Ariel, she'd gone to check on Linda, who claimed to have seen the royalty leave the castle. The two of them had decided to wait for the group to return, and neither of them had been expecting two new people to be with them.

Kai, Chase, and Abby, who had all arrived shortly before the royalty (and Falte) had come back, were standing to the side of the room, all of them looking confused and concerned. Chase and Abby were watching their father pace endlessly - Chase looked curiously frustrated, and Abby looked worried and nervous for both her father and the man on the bed. Kai was looking from Falte to the injured man, his expression slightly curious but strangely unreadable.
