"Hey spence, what time should I be home tonight?" I text spencer, leaning against my yellow truck. Caleb looks at me, confused. "hey dude are you okay? You seem worried." Caleb asks me. "Nah, not really. I was gonna surprise spencer by telling her about my new job but Jenna had to call me and tell me to fix her house." I respond, putting my phone back in my pocket. "I can tell Jenna that you had an emergency and you can surprise spencer." caleb suggests. My phone buzzes in my pocket. It's a text from spence, "around 6:00 would be nice." it reads. its 5:00 now. "Yeah can you actually tell Jenna that. I have to talk to spencer about my new job and all the details." I say. "okay, you can head out. the drives about an hour anyways." "see ya later man." "see ya." I say, hopping into my truck and heading home.
