WARNINGS: Food, nausea, mention of vomit
I am back and ready to project onto angry blonds and write found families! Set at like, the next competition after the GPF (is that Worlds? I dunno just imagine a major international competition that's like, a few months after the Grand Prix). Also? I dunno how like, comprehensible this is but if you need clarification please comment! The competition had ended hours ago, and all of the competitors gathered together to make plans for their night. Since Yuri and Mila were the only Russian competitors 18 and under (in accordance with the rules the coaches had set), and the redhead had run around with the Italian women's competitor as soon as Sara's brother was distracted, he didn't have to worry about being picked on and teased as constantly (he loved it, it was how the whole team knew they cared, but he was still in his senior debut and was the recent GPF gold medalist; he wanted to be cool to the others). He met with Otabek near his room as they went down to the hotel's sitting area, trying not to stare at the tattoo sleeves peeking out from the Kazakh's shirt.
While the people above the coach-set age limit were going to a "modest strip club" ("what makes a strip club modest, Giacometti?" "No less modest than last years banquet." "I thought we weren't talking about that!" "I thought you both did wonderful." "Vitya!" "Thank you, mon cher"), it was surprisingly Otabek who suggested an underage club that he'd DJed at before. They only served mocktails, but Yuri figured he could smuggle in a bottle of Vodka to add to his own drinks. Therefor Yuri, Otabek, Minami Kenjirou, Guang Hong Ji, Emil Nekola, and Leo de la Iglesia set out in a few cars (driven by Leo and Emil) to the address Otabek had given them.
Yuri, who was pouting since Lilia had found the bottle of Vodka he brought and confiscated it, was sitting with Otabek in the back of Leo's car when an influx of texts came into the Team Russia (plus Viktor and, now, the other Yuuri) groupchat. Mainly reminders not to drink to much, to be back by such and such time, for everybody to take their meds, and to be careful of their food and drinks (as much as Yakov denied it aloud, he was definitely an absolute father/grandfather figure to his skaters, and his ex-skater's fiance, always watching for their health and well being at a deeper level than most coaches did. In his defence, none of his skaters had resolute father figures; the closest was Nikolai (who he was getting old enough that Yuri cared just as much for him as he did for his grandson), Yuuri, and Viktor, who were still only young despite how much they wanted to be that father figure for Yuri (hell, the Japanese man was barely in his mid-20's, and as much of they made fun of and got annoyed with Viktor's childish behavior, he didn't get to have much of one when he was young and he was, despite what many people say, responsible. To a degree. On top of that, they both dealt with quite crippling mental illnesses and needed all the guidance they can get).
Yuri brushed it off, sending a thumbs up without really reading what was sent. He knew his limits, contrary to what most people believed, especially when it came to his health. Being a chronically ill figure skater was hard, and the Russian Punk wasn't going to risk throwing away the next few practices for the sake of some "fun." He shut off his phone and continued his conversation with Otabek, as they neared the small club.
While Otabek mentioned that he'd worked there before, he'd apparently neglected to mention how popular he was. Most of the staff greeted him, congratulating him on making it to Worlds, asked about his "friends," though with the way he responded it seemed like it was normal. To be fair, to him it probably was; he was a fairly well known DJ for being only 18, and Yuri couldn't tell whether his skating fans fed his music ones, or the other way around. Nonetheless, the group found a table hidden in the corner (none of them were too keen on attracting a bunch of attention, especially since they had the Russian Fairy with them and, thanks to last year's "scandal," they were all well aware how crazy "Yuri's Angels" could get, not that the rest of them didn't have their fair share of rabid fans).
