The clock ticked as dream focused on it, he'd been watching the hours pass, it felt like within a blink of an eye and now it was morning. He still was trying to work out whether what happened last night was real or not.

He pulled himself out of bed, showered and cleaned himself up before pulling a shirt over his head and sweats over his legs.

Dream found himself in the kitchen, making a coffee as his eyes burned, not sleeping was something that didn't tend to affect him.

His phone went off and he opened it, george's spotify twitter tracker had tweeted.

Mixed Signals - The Night Café

Dream searched the lyrics of the song on google, since he hadn't heard it before.

'i think that i've gone too far this time
i think i need to let it go
i didn't think that i didn't need you
i just got fucked and you made the decisions
you went and changed and you didn't need me'

dream raised an eyebrow, maybe he was looking into this too much.

'it's so much harder now
it's so much harder now youre not mine
mine.
and now you're not mine
mine.
i didn't think that i didn't need you.'

He switched his phone off and slid it into his pocket, if he continued to read into it, it'd drive him crazy.

He poured the coffee into his mug, black coffee was very much needed in this moment.

Dream sat in the living room, putting on MTV music, just letting it play as he drank his coffee.

"hey dream" george stood in the hall looking over at the couch, dream kept his eyes on the the television
"hey george"

george huffed, rolling his eyes and walked over now standing within dreams eyesight.

Dream froze, he almost spat his coffee out.

"George what are you doing?"
"i couldn't find a hoodie- so i borrowed one of yours- if that's okay?"
"i mean- yeah- it's fine- very- uh fine?" Dreams words stumbled as he stuttered, he blinked harshly twice to make sure he was definitely seeing this correctly.

"so, whatcha watching" George sat himself next to him
"oh; just listening to music" dream smiled taking a sip of his coffee, still stuck on the way george looked.

His hair was wet and sprawled across the centre of his forehead, he must've just had a shower, he was wearing a black dream smile hoodie which fell down to his thighs and white socks. Dream couldn't tell if he had shorts below or just his boxers, common sense told him that he surely had shorts on.

"you seriously drink black coffee, i thought that was a joke" george chuckled noticing the hot beverage meeting dreams lips every so often
dream shrugged "i don't even like coffee"
"then why are you drinking it stupid"
"didn't sleep last night"
"why, are you okay?"
"i think you know why george"
"what are you on about"
"the kiss?"
"oh-" george retorted, humming slightly "that..."
dream sighed turning away, he switched the channel to CBS trying to focus on whatever show played.

George pulled his phone from the hoodie pocket and began messaging someone, dream tried not to pay attention to it, although his heart was beating at his chest at the sudden tension.
