                                                                ***********************************

One Winter night Tom Granger just got done working his late shift at the local 7-11. The scent of pine filled the air as he walked towards his red pick up truck in the parking lot. Tom glanced across the street to the graveyard and saw a girl about his age standing there in a short sleeved dress.

Tom walked across the street to where the girl was standing.

"It's a bit cold for short sleeves isn't it? I'm Tom. Tom granger." He told the girl sticking out his hand.

"I'm Lucinda. Lucinda Potter." The girl said shaking his hand.

"Do you want a ride home?" Tom asked Lucinda

"Sure." She said smiling.

"Here you must be cold, take my jacket." Tom said as he walked Lucinda to his truck putting his jacket around her shoulders.

The whole time Tom and Lucinda talked non-stop and it seemed as though they'd known eachother for there whole life. After about fifteen minutes Tom dropped Lucinda off at her house and watched her walk in as she thanked him for the ride.

As Tom drove to his house he realized that Lucinda still had his jacket. He was to tired to turn around and get it and he forgot to get her number so he decided he'd just go to her house in the morning.

The next morning Tom drove to Lucinda's house and knocked at her door. A women that looked in her late 60's with grey hair and dressed in her robe answered the door. Tom explained the situation to the women. The women began to cry and said that she was Lucinda's mother and that Lucinda died when she was 19 about 20 years ago. Also that Lucinda was buried down at the cemetary across the street from the 7-11.

Confused by this Tom went to the cemetary and to where her mother told him have grave was. He walked up to a grave and it read Lucinda Potter - 19. Tom looked down and in front of the headstone and neatly folded was his jacket.
