Weeks had passed and things had gone by. Justin and his family came back to Wisconsin and when Y/N told him everything she didn't get to over the phone, he was very supportive. He didn't have the full context or really understood most of it but he was still understanding. She was the same with him and made sure she tried to understand how he was feeling.

Parker still didn't like Justin but they have been hanging out a lot more. They've done simple things like get lunch, or go to the mall with Y/N, or just watch a movie while Y/N sat in between them.

However it has recently gotten more difficult for him to hide his feelings. One day while he, Y/N, and Justin were out, Justin went to answer his dads call leaving Y/N and Parker alone.

"So.. do you still hate Justin?" she joked.

"I don't hate him." he said faking his hurt. She gave him a look and he gave in. "Okay, yeah, i did hate him. But.. he's okay now, i guess."

"Good." she smiled. "Because i really like him. And it means a lot to me if you like him too." she said. She grabbed his hands and smiled at him.

He just stared at his best friends eyes. In awe at how beautiful she was right now. How caring she seemed. It warmed his heart seeing her so happy. He just wished she was with him.

Once Justin came back, Parker quickly let go of her hands and took in a deep breath and brushed himself off. It made Y/N look at him weirdly until Justin put his arm around her.

Now it was time to get her head back in session. Maddie and Diggie recently broke up so she's been trying her hardest to help Maddie get over him.

"I'm just saying, if he was her first love, it can't hurt to just keep a few of the things he gave her, right?" Dusk said over the phone. Y/N walked in the halls to her locker with her head back annoyed with the same response.

"Look, i see where you're coming from, but i already told Mrs. Rooney about it and she said she'll think about it." she told her friend. "Now if you'll excuse me, i have a chemistry report due that i have yet to start." she said getting her books.

"Alright. Just text me later so we can go get an after school lunch and you can help me with my homework." Dusk told her dear friend. "Love you."

"Yeah, yeah. Love you too." she said and hung up. She looked at her book and noticed something was off about it.

"What's up, short stack?" she heard a deep voice say behind her. She turned and saw Dump Truck. "Aye! My book!"

"Wha- that's yours?" she asked. He just nodded and held it to his side. "Then where is mine..?" she trailed off.

"Don't know, don't care. I need your help little one." he told her. She immediately shook her head no and started to walk away.

"Nope! Nope!"

"Oh come on! I haven't even said what it is." he pleaded.

"Yeah. But the answers still no." she said as they came to a stop near the stairs. "The last time i helped you, i got locked in a locker over the weekend."

"So?"

"..i'm deathly afraid of small spaces and had over 100 breakdowns." she said. "I'm good." She started to turn around and walk away at the same time until she bumped into-

"Woah! You okay?" he said with a bright smile.

"Holden.." she let out. Holden always caught her eye. His looks, his personality, his smile. All of it. "marry me.." she whispered.

"uh.. what?" he laughed. He helped her to her feet fully and just smiled.

"Did i say that out loud?" she asked herself.
