4 | Anime Because I'm Dead

Still dead... ha

ANYWAYS, if you didn't realize Danny came out with a new Wattpad video (linked above), and I found a lovely comment asking for some wholesome Anime marathons, and I decided why not? So this chapter is dedicated to antisocialpangirl who came up with the idea.

THERE WILL BE NO ANIME SPOILERS BECAUSE I BELIEVE THERE IS A SPECIAL CIRCLE IN HELL FOR PEOPLE WHO GIVE MOVIE/TV SHOW SPOILERS AND I DO NOT WISH TO BE STUCK THERE BECAUSE I SPOILED FOR FANFICTION. Yes, I have thought way too much about this (don't ask me what the punishment in this circle is...)

Here we go?

"Can we please watch Prince of Tennis?" You begged your best friend Danny who sighed.

"We've been over this, you just want to watch it so you can then force me to watch the K-Drama as well! We're watching anime, cartoons!"

"Fine, then let's watch Star's Align!" You said, and Danny groaned, making you pout.

"If we watch a sports anime, then let's watch Haikyuu." He said, making you groan.

"I have been following Haikyuu for eight years  I will end up spoiling it for you because I can't keep my mouth shut when I rewatch anything," you explained, thinking of the years of manga the show was behind, and he laughed. (Everything stated in this paragraph is true. Yes, I am an OG Haikyuu fan, and it's my biggest flex.)

"Yeah, I learned that when we tried rewatching Black Bulter." He said, and you groaned.

"I do not like Sebastian a ton. He feels too much like a pedophile to me," you mumbled,  and Danny sighed.

"He's a fucking demon! He owns Ciel's soul! He's literally protecting his property!" Danny said, and you sighed.

"Doesn't mean he's not a pedo..."

"Then what do you want to watch?" Danny said, pulling up your Hulu account, and flipping through the multitude of shows. "Demon Slayer is always an option," Danny said, stopping scrolling to pause on the show, "and I've just seen the first episode."

"Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun is also up there, Oh and there's Food Wars I know you'd love it!" you said, pointing out the show right new to it. "The art and animation style is supposed to be amazing for Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, and I know the cooking scenes, I mean-oh, I should probably not say anything," you said with a sigh, looking back at the tv, thinking.

"You know what we haven't watched yet," you said, cutting into your own thoughts, "Code Geass."

"Okay, then our options for tonight are Demon Slayer, Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, and Code Geass, (even though I've watched it.) I'm not risking Food Wars because I've heard that it's a good anime and want to actually enjoy it without you spoiling the finale." Danny paused to look at you and you guilty thought about the time you roped him into watching Maid-Sama then proceeded to spoil the entire show. "I personally would like to watch Demon Slayer, but I'm fine with the other options as well." Danny sighed, and you shifted in your cave of blankets.

"I didn't realize that you had watched Code Geass already," you said, feeling a little guilty, "I think Demon Slayer would be awesome, so let's get it started!" You said, tugging a soft blanket tighter around your form as you shifted into its gentle fibers (idk how to write now, so lol, have fun reading the rest of this...)

Danny started the show pulling his own blanket over his legs as the pair of you watched the load the show, the small circle icon spinning, as the first framed loaded and you saw a snowy forest.

You immediately knew it was going to be an amazing show and were drawn into the first season as the first episode continued. You squealed as another character came onto the screen, their spiky black hair tied in a ponytail as they moved, talking to Tanjiro, the protagonist.

As the first episode ended, you glanced towards Danny, silently asking if he enjoyed it, which was quickly answered by him clicking onto the next episode.

"This is really good, I see why so many people like it," He said, and you grinned.

"I agree, I love the animation, but the story is where this series really shines. I'm just scared they're going to fall into the repetitive Demon Hunting episode pattern, where they hunt a single demon every episode preparing to fight the biggest Demon around.

However, the show surprised you with a slow burn plot line having the pair of you react in a multitude of ways.

After Eight episodes you started to doze off, your eyes drooping until you fell asleep.

You woke up much later, you head pressed against... a shoulder? You started moving your head but a weight on top of yours made you freeze. After a few seconds of you regaining consciousness you realized you were cuddled up to Danny! Your face burned bright red as your crush slightly shifted in his sleep.

This wasn't happening. You glanced towards the screen to see a message from Hulu asking if you were still watching, and you quickly turned off the TV, you fingers stretching, so you didn't move your head, and wake up Danny.

Once the room was shrouded in darkness, you felt yourself press farther into Danny. You would take advantage of the situation for now, and sleep.

Maybe you could finally tell him how you felt when morning came, but for now, it was time to sleep.

I hope you all liked that! All animes listed were real animes, and I recommend all of them starting with Code Geass, (I grew up with this anime and I love rewatching it still.) However Jujutsu Kaisen is also another amazing anime and I highly recommend it as well.

Anyways, this would have been up a couple of days ago, but I had to babysit and finish stuff for school. I hope you all have a wonderful day!
