"Hey son, let's have a small chat, it's time I tell you the answer you've looked for." My mother said. "Okay, I'm listening." I said. "The reason you have such power is because you are a creature of the void, we think it has to do with someone in our family tree that is part of the void." She said, "and seeing as you've come of age, it's time you find your own place in the world, the purpose you've wished to find." She continued. "Okay." I said, my voice was dull. "You'll face many hardships, but don't let anything tear you down. Okay, son?" She said. "Yeah..." I said. She hugged me really tight, I hugged back.
"Go on your own son, may I begin to watch over you the day I die as your father does, may your spirit guide you on the path you need to follow." She said. "We both will always and forever love you for you are our son." She said then kissed me on the forehead. "Now go, go forge your own path, may you find peace, and may Arceus bless your soul." She finished and then let go. I started to walk away. "I'm going to miss you, my son." She called after me. "I'm going to miss you too, I'm going to miss you so much." I said, tearing up, I continued to walk away and it wasn't long before I started to actually cry silently. "So the young shadow finally starts on his own." A voice said.
"Be brave, and strong, don't give in. You need to endure little shadow, the light will find you, eventually...." The voice began to fade out. "Stay strong, endure." It said, fully fading out. I continued to walk, looking down, the feeling I'm being watched by some mon eating away at me, whispering heard all around me, but I kept going, ignoring everything. I reached dual peaks and smelled a salazzle den nearby so I turned the other way. I ran into a large group of salandit. I looked them dead in the eyes one by one, telling them I'm not to be messed with. But instead they almost seemed surprised.
"The shadow?!" The one questioned and the group started whispering to each other. "Massster hass been waiting for you for some time now." The larger one spoke up. "You can trust us little shadow." He said. I figured I had nothing to lose, so I followed, being brought to their den. "Hello there." A salazzle, seeming a little bigger than most emerged from behind a group of rocks, nice to finally meet the one born of void and material." She said, "You'll need someone to help you learn how to fight, because you currently lack the skill. Many mythicals and legendaries will come after you for your potential power.
But, with my help, you'll be able to survive at least an hour of battling with one." She said, "Let the training commence." She got on all fours and came at me, I tried to use dark pulse and she dodged it, grabbed me by my leg and flipped me, slamming me into the ground belly up. "Little to no reflex, not accounting for opponent maneuverability, you wouldn't have lasted even 5 seconds." She said, "again!" She demanded and got me back onto all fours.
