Daybreak signaled the start of the first day of Spring vacation, the ten days between graduation and a new school year! For most students, this was a fine day to sleep in on, for Hinata, it wasn't that simple.
Like a kitten, Hinata was curled up so peacefully on his bed, that cute button nose wrinkling every so often at the gurgling sound of his dehumidifier, signaling that it was in need of emptying. At best, it only momentarily annoyed him, very few things could actually wake a sleeping Hinata Shōyō aside from a devilish little sister, speaking of which.
"Shōyō-nii! Wake up! Wakey shakey!" The high pitched voice of Natsu broke the calm silence of the Hinata house, her tiny foot steps in a mad dash toward Shōyō's room.
Natsu's fingers curled around the doorknob, the last layer of defense protecting her brother's dreamland. With a loud bang, the door was almost slammed off the hinges, practically screeching at the abusive gremlin of a girl.
Springing over to the slumbering form of her brother, Natsu hopped up onto the soft bed. "Shōyō-niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, wake up, up, up!" Wrenching the covers away from her older sibling, the younger began to ruthlessly stretch and play with her Big Brother's face.
"N-Natshu Shtahp it!" An unintelligible slurring of words came from Hinata as he tried to communicate with his sister, the same sister that was practically trying to reconfigure his face!
"Okay, Shōyō-nii! Momma made some of your favorites for breakfast today, so you better hurry up!" Happily chirping away, Natsu relinquished her hold on Hinata's cheeks. With a quick hop off the bed, she zipped down the hall and toward the kitchen. Leaving Hinata to practically explode in excitement for his first day at Karasuno.
"It should only take me thirty minutes by bike to reach Karasuno, as long as nothing crazy happens, I should be fine!" Punching his fists into the air, Hinata failed to realize how badly he jinxed himself.
----------------------------------------
Hinata wasn't the only person heading to Karasuno today, far from it. A certain snake faced captain had been sent to deliver these spiteful documents to Daichi. "Well, atleast it's not Kuroo, or the rest of his awful strays...."
Trying to see the bright side in this situation wasn't easy, most of the team was off enjoying spring vacation, the sting of Mika leaving him was potent, and now....now he was riding this train all the way out to the nest of those flightless crow bastards.
'I feel like maybe a wayward spike toward Daichi is in order, if this is more trouble than it's worth of course...' Smirking to himself in sadistic glee, the various people in the train car, old and young alike, cringed in fear. They didn't know why, but it was a natural instinct to pull back when that cruel smile was aimed at you.
This didn't go unnoticed by the captain of Nohebi, his smile faltered and he looked outside the window, as if in shame.
With a glum sigh, he mulled over the reality of the situation. 'See, even people who don't know me see me as a detestable snake', he felt it was a tad unfair to pass judgement on someone for their smile alone.
In the end, all he could was try and not bother these people with his visage, resigning himself to facing out the window, a frustrated frown playing on his lips.
------------------------------------
Pedaling with all the might his small body could muster, Hinata had finally arrived at Karasuno. It had taken a bit longer than expected thanks to extremely unfortunate incidents, like fallen trees blocking the most direct route, or the large amount of birds that blocked the next best option. So Hinata had to practically go around the mountains today, and that...that was not a fun workout.
