____________ THIRD POV
"merry christmas!" alex and karl yell, walking into judes apartment the morning of the 25th at 9am.
"why did i give you guys a key?" she says rubbing her eye as she drinks hot cocoa with minx and niki.
"because you love us." alex says, hopping on the sofa next to minx who hands him a cup of hot chocolate.
jude hands karl one as she makes her way to the sofa.
"merry christmas." she smiles, pecking him on the lips ignoring the feeling to break out into giggles she gets whenever they kiss. the two never officially started dating, it was just sort of something that just went unspoken despite both wanting more. they liked eachother and only eachother.
karl was still very anxious about leaving, and he has still not told her. he doesn't know how, he is so scared and almost out of opportunities to tell her before he leaves. "merry christmas!"
"do you guys want cookies?" she asks, with a roll of her eyes, ignoring his claim that she knows is true, she really has grown to love them these past few weeks.
the boys nod, rubbing their hands together excitedly, a tactic one of them gained from the other. neither remembered who though.
jude brings the tray of cookies from the counter to the sofa, where they agreed beforehand is where they would exchange gifts.
the group takes two cookies reaching before settling down for a few moments.
"how was your night?" karl asks, wrapping his left arm around jude and pulling her closer to him. she hums, going to respond only to get cut off by minx.
"you guys might as well sleep together at this point. you're over here all day and night until like 4 am anyways." her statement makes karl blush as jude laughs. he shoves his face in her neck to hide his bright red cheeks.
the comment reminds jude of when minx first heard they kissed.
"YOU'RE FUCKING JOKING. and you let us interrupt you?!" minx exclaims, throwing her hands up in the air as niki sits on judge's bed in shock.
"what should i have done?" jude asks in amusement, having waited the rest of the day until the boys left to tell them.
"you could have kicked us out." niki points out cleverly. all of the girls have largesmiles on their faces.
"kicked you out? seriously?" jude retorts in disbelief, getting only a laugh as a response.
"i would've." minx shrugs.
"i'm sure you would've."
"a bit far so quick don't you think?" jude responds. minx goes to point out how its different since karl leaves in a little over a week only for karl to start speaking, not liking the topic.
"okay! so let's open presents!" a voice says as the friends group together, jude handing out the presents assigned to the people.
once she gets everyone their presents she claps, pointing to alex to go first.
he excitedly smiles, opening the biggest gift like a child.
the group opens presents for an hour, each giving and receiving several, when karl pulls something out from behind his back and hands it to jude.
"what's this?" she asks, giving him a questioning look. karl shrugs, giggiling madly.
she looks to the rest of her close friends only for them to look away as if they weren't staring.
she laughs a bit, ripping open the wrapping paper to see a velvet box. she gives karl a weary look, aware of how fast he gets attached to people. she had a conversation with alex about it a few days ago, it's not necessarily a bad thing its just surprising.
the box opens to reveal a ring, making her shake her head in disbelief. her face dropping ever so slightly.
"no no no it isn't an engagement ring!" he insists quickly, causing her to give him a weary look, "it's not even a promise ring! just look at it closer!"
looking closer on the ring she sees the words 'best tour guide' are engraved on the inside, the outside smooth and silver.
jude lets out a loud laugh, pushing then ring in the direction of the other girls in the room.
"what the fuck?" minx lets slip out, holding her hands up to her lips and trying not to laugh. niki lets out a giggle from beside her that sends the group into a fit of laughter.
alex laughs the hardest, holding his side and letting out a high-pitched screech. jude shakes her head, scoffing and patting his back.
once the group calms down they sit there, chatting.
karl turns jude to look at him, "you haven't put it on yet."
jude nods, going to put it on. karl takes it from her and puts it on her pointer, going along with her other rings. "just so you know what i look like putting a ring on your finger."
the comment doesn't deter the girl, it makes her smile before playfully slapping his shoulder. out of the corner of her eye she sees minx hitting niki's arm, turning to them she shakes her head aggressively. her way of telling them they'll talk about it later.
niki nods, giving a more than obvious wink. "so alex can you help me and minx get something from judes room?"
he nods and they all leave the room, not suspiciously at all.
jude turns back to karl to see him looking at her, "what?"
"nothing, i'm just admiring your beauty." he responds, lifting his hand up to touch her face. he leans in, not to kiss her. just admiring her.
she takes to time to look at him too, watching as he wets his lips and softens his eyes. they forget about the other people in the room for a minute. as if they're the only people on the planet and the earth is quiet, they admire each other.
"you're gorgeous." she whispers, watching his eyes flicker to her lips. the compliment is the only sign he needs from the earth to get the urge to kiss her.
and so he does, he captures her lips in a soft kiss, giggling at the small clash of teeth. and they stay that way for awhile, savoring the feeling of their lips on one another.

I WILL TRY MY HARDEST TO UPDATE MORE BUT THERE HAS BEEN SO MUCH GOING ON FOR THE LAST MONTH !! this is the christmas chapter,, i have a vague idea where im taking it from here !! i started writing this as soon as the last chapter went out but i had writers block and wasn't too interested in any mcyt but I'M MOSTLY BACK !!
