Yukiko, age twenty three, sat at the bar with her brother. Kou laughed loudly at something Tetsurou Kuroo had said, clearly already intoxicated. The girl rolled her eyes at his behavior, but threw down another shot herself.
"Hey, is Kenma coming?" She asked Kuroo, once he was done with his joke. The older man looked at her, shaking his head.
"He's still not a fan of crowds like this." Kuroo said, taking a sip of his whiskey. "I think he's streaming, actually."
Yukiko nodded. Classic Kenma, she chuckled to herself, pulling out her phone. Kuroo had been right, as she had a notification from Kodzuken in the status bar. Half of her wanted to watch it right now, despite being in a noisy bar, but she decided against it. She would watch it later, supporting her friend no matter what.
"Hey, how's your job been?" Hinata asked, sitting on her right. "You're the girl's volleyball coach for Fukurodani now, right? Is it fun?"
Yukiko smiled at the man. "Yeah! It's lots of fun, actually. My girls are all pretty strong. I think we have what it takes to go to Nationals."
"Woah, really?" Hinata gasped. "That's amazing! Good job!"
Yukiko chuckled a quiet thanks, before taking another shot. The alcohol was finally working it's magic, and she felt a little light headed. "You should slow down." Keiji spoke from her left. "That's your sixth shot."
"It's my weekend off, we don't have practice." The woman said with a smile. "Plus, I'm not a lightweight, like you."
"That's insulting."
"Only if you take it that way."
Keiji shook his head at her with a smile, when another body joined their already large group. "Sorry I'm late. Practice was going on forget." The male said, one Yukiko hadn't had much interaction with. "Oh, hello." He noticed her. "Have we met?"
"Only briefly in high school." Yukiko gave him a smile. "Though, the alcohol's making my brain fuzzy. What's your name, again?"
The ravenette stuck his hand out to shake. "I'm Tobio Kageyama. What's yours?"
She took his hand without hesitation, and shook it firmly. "Ah, I remember now! You were Hinata's partner with that crazy quick attack back in the day! I'm a big fan, Mr. Kageyama." She took her hand back, before gasping quietly. "I totally forgot to introduce myself!" She laughed loudly, so unlike her high school self.
"I'm Yukiko Akaashi. Nice to meet you."
