i walk down the hall towards the elevator, with mattia following behind me.
"look nai... i'm sorry for overreacting, if you don't want me to be overprotective just tell me." mattia exclaims anxiously.
"no no, i'm sorry." i say pressing the elevator button named "L" for lobby. "i think being overprotective is cute."
mattia grins a bit, going on his phone to break the awkwardness. as the elevator stops at the 2nd floor; bringing more people in the elevator. it starts going down to the lobby, mattia grabs naileas hand pushing through the crowd. we sit awkwardly on a bench nearby the entrance.
"i think lauren is coming" mattia says, "oh... she is? why?" nai asks "its playlist, anyone comes. besides, just talk to her about the situation." mattia exclaims "because. what she did was bullshit. and i can't forgive her about that." i say looking behind him, "speaking of her..." i whisper getting up.
"nai? omg! i haven't seen you in months!!" lauren yells loudly. i blink harshly, slowly turning around. "oh lauren? how can i help you? do you wanna steal my boyfriend again?" i say looking at her with eye contact. "woah woah, first of all what is your problem? and second, nobody wants your boyfriend, at least not what he did" she whispers.
what? what did he do? did i miss something? i just wanna burst in tears.
"excuse me? what did he do?" i say looking at him, "wanna tell her? or shall i?" lauren says grinning. "i... what?" mattia says stuttering looking at me. he can obviously see the tears in my eyes starting to form.
"maybe we should go outside and i'll tell you everything nai." he says grabbing my hand and pushing past lauren and the crowd. "what the hell is going on?" i say waking out the main entrance sliding door. "i wish i could've told you this earlier... but i.. just... didn't want to hurt your feelings.." he says stuttering after each word. "i thought we said we wouldn't keep secrets from each other??" i say crossing my arms, "i know, but i promise i'll tell you when the time comes" mattia says grabbing both of my hands. "ugh... fine.." i say turning around
but it wasn't fine...
