Not wanting to force my way In your life has been the hardest feat I've taken up
I couldn't withstand the nature of the separation of us
Lightening thrashing its veins at us from the heavens causes our steady boat to rock
Tossing and turning about our curated ship, we ponder of the stability of wood and steel
Rain crashes on the roof peeling the surface away
Although the surface of the ship was revealed, Underneath showed the strength of our steel preserving our nest
You look at me and nod your head reassuringly, never leaving me unsure about where your mind drifted off to
We pretend the storm doesn't exist
If this is the test that true love exists
As we stand still finally trusting one another, the wind slows down
The water starts to settle, and the howling storms begin to whisper
Fading into the abyss of darkness, they noticed our love was tried and true
Not turning two lovers into two enemies
With steady hands we stand hand-in-hand. Right here on our steady boat
