In a world full of deception...

"Hurts, Doesn't It? Being Lied To. Being Told You're One Thing And Then Learning It's All A Fiction."

I came across this qoute by Tom Hiddleston when he played Loki in MCU's film "Thor" and it hit me hard. Really hard.

It does hurt to realize that all that you have been believing, all that you have ever been told are simply lies you failed to detect.

Every person at any stages of life would for sure experience cheating and deception. The hardest part of deception is that it never comes from your enemies, but from your loved ones.

When we are affectionate towards someone, we create for ourselves an opportunity to be decieved. Not everyone deceives you, but trust me someone surely will.

I have personally come across deception and I know how it feels to be deceived. You feel stupid, you feel enraged, you feel inferior and above all you feel worthless.

Expectations. The mere word seems dangerous. From every person we meet in our lives, we expect certain things. Sometimes friendship, sometimes love, sometimes advice, while at other times just a small word of kindness or support, etc. It is the nature of man to expect and there's nothing wrong in it. The problem is we don't know what to expect from whom. We expect an antidote from a snake which only knows to spit out venom. Isn't it ridiculous? But alas, what can we do when we don't actually know who is a snake and who is not?

Recently, I had an epiphany. Whatever I wanted to be true, whatever I thought was true turned out to be a mere hallucination right in front of my eyes. It was so hard to take in what happened. Right now I remember a lyric from a song, "I've been building a castle just to watch it fall..." (end qoute) Exactly what I had been doing. I've dreamt of everything and then suddenly it shatters like glass.

Maybe someday we can grow strong despite all the deception we've faced. Remember that diamonds are created under great pressure. Because, in a world full of deception what can we probably do except to learn to break free from it?
