{chapter 8}

It was the second day of the interhigh and today you and your team had an official match against Date Tech. That was the only think that kept you awake that night. You haven't played with them recently, and they got some new players. You looked for your notes about Date Tech. Yes, you have many notes, which were more like books, about different teams. You had Karasuno- the flightless crows, Aoba Joshai- the prettiest flower, Shiratorizawa- the eagles, Fukurodani- the owls... There were many, many of teams you had collected info about. Of course, you have a Nekoma-the cats one, for your team. In those books were all the techniques, strategies and players in them. Once you found the book that said 'Date Tech-the iron wall' you carefully opened it and started reading about the new players, strategies and techniques. You knew most of them, but it won't hurt to refresh your brain.

After you finished reading about your appointment, you woke up other girls. You woke up before them so you could read in peace. When all the girls were awake, you, Kiyoko and Yukie decided to cook breakfast. While three gorgeous girls were on they way to the kitchen, you heard noise coming from other room. "I will check the noise, you go, I will catch up" you informed the girls. "Okay Y/n, just stay safe" you gave them a quick nod and them went to the direction of the sound.

After 2 minutes of walking, you discovered that the strange noise was coming from the Karasuno dorm. You knocked, not wanting to be rude, but noone responded. You decided to go in. Once you opened the door, you saw Tanaka and Noya ready to fight Tsukishima, and the others trying to stop them. You didn't know the reason for the violence, but you interrupted the situation. "Um, sorry for interrupting, but could you please keep your voice down?" you asked, looking at the embarrassed team of crows. "ANYTHING FOR YOU Y/N-SAN, WE ARE SORRY FOR BREATGING YOUR AIR AND WASTING YOUR TIME, BUT WOULD YOU LIKE TO DAT-" they jumped towards you as they were confessing, only to be stopped by Daichi and Asahi. They were now on the floor, probably unconscious. Tsukishima only stared at you, remembering the last time. "Um, by the way, the breakfast will be ready soon, just so you know" you informed the team. "Thank you for the information, Y/n" Suga said, thinking if he should use -san when talking to you, but you are the same grade. "No problem, see you around guys" you gave them an angelic smile and them left the room. You decided to inform every team about the meal since someone had to do it.

"TANAKA, NISHINOYA, YOU JUST EMBARRASSED US IN FRONT OF Y/N, SHAME ON YOU!" Daichi screamed at his troublesome second years who were sulking on the floor, knowing what they did.

Well for now, you informed Karasuno, Date Tech and Johnsei. In Date Tech room was only captain awake, so you didn't have trouble. On the other hand, Johnsei players were holding back Terushima from kissing you and hugging you. Yep, total chaos. Next one is Seijoh. Oh god. You loved the team, they were funny, but really chaotic. Once you knocked on the door, Iwaizumi opened it. "Ah, Y/n, nice to see you" he greeted you, trying to cover the whole door so people in side can't see who is he talking to. "Nice to see you too, Iwaizumi, I'm just here to inform you that the breakfast will be ready soon" you smiled at the boy. As he was about to say something, a brown haired boy interrupted. "Iwa-chan, who are you talking t- CUTIE-CHAN! Why are you here?!? Do you finally wanna go on a date with m-" Iwizumi just slammed the door. You knew why he did that, Oikawa can be troublesome. While Iwaizumi was dealing with him, you want to inform your own team, Nekoma.

You knocked at the door. Yaku opened it and gave you a smile. "Hello Y/n, how are you?" He asked, still smiling. "Good morning Yaku, I'm good, thank you. I'm here to inform you about the breakfast" you informed the libero. "Oh, thank yo-" and he got cut off. By Yamamoto. You knew this isn't going to end well. "Y/N-SAN, YOU LOOK BEAUTIFUL AS ALWAYS AND YOU SMELL SO NICE-" and it was over. Yamamoto on the floor, knocked out by Yaku. Everyone looked at Yamamoto, then Yaku and then you. They all just smiled at you, signaling that they will be in the kitchen for a few minutes. You gave them quick 'okay' glance and left to kitchen.

"Ah Y/n, where were you?" Kiyoko asked, looking very worried. "I'm fine Kiyoko, I just informed all the teams about breakfast. They should be here soon." you said to the raven haired girl. She gave you quick 'okay' and continued doing breakfast. You helped them.

After everyone finished eating, they all, including you and Nekoma, left to prepare for today's matches.

12:30 pm.

"The time you've all been waiting for, people. It is time for Date Tech vs Nekoma match. CAN I GET AN APPLAUSE" Narrator's voice was heard through the microphone. Big applause following 'go, go, let's go Dateko' and 'go Nekoma'. "On our left side of the court we have, an amazing, tall blockers, known as an 'iron wall', GIVE A BIG APPLAUSE FOR DATE TECH" the audience was clapping like there is no tomorrow for Date Tech. They came out of their changing room and started heading to the court, waving to the audience. "On our right side of the court we have, an unstoppable defenders and spikers, but not only that, the only team here to have an albatross as amazing as her, GIVE ME LOUDEST APPLAUSE FOR OUR CATS, NEKOMA" not only claps, shouts and screams could be heard from the public as the red team stepped on the court. 'YURIKO-SAN, WE LOVE YOU' some girls were screaming towards your direction. They were holding a big banner with 'YURIKO Y/N♡' as a headline. You noticed them and waved back, making a heart shape of your hands. "AAHHHHHH, SHE NOTICED USSSS" screams, and only screams.

First to warm up was Dateko. They practiced their spikes and blocks, while you were with your team telling them some main info. While you were doing your thing, one of Dateko's spikes went a little bit off it's course and started heading towards you in a great speed. "Y- YURIKO-SAN, LOOK OUT" some players shouted. The ball was two meters away from your face, but you caught it with your right hand, while your left was holding your notes. The court and even audience went silent for a moment. The spiker was frozen. You want to him a gave him the ball. "Here" you said, in a sweet tone. "T- thank y-you, and g-gomen for t-the trouble" he said, stuttering. You nodded at him and gave a quick 'don't worry' and head back to your thing. Little did you know, all Nekoma players, even Kenma, were giving that spiker death glares. Yep, they will probably 'talk' after the match.
