Things with Tommy were going great.

The two of them facetimed regularly, throwing texts at each other whenever they had the time. Sometimes they'd text for an hour, and other times they'd only respond to the other within intervals, still keeping up with the conversation. It was comfortable and exciting, despite having only known each other for only around 2 weeks now.

And yet, still, Wren's family had no clue that Tommy even existed.

It wasn't that she thought her dad and brother, for whatever reason, would be judgmental or disapproving. But she knew if she told her dad, he'd become overprotective. Before Tommy's birthday, he'd ask whether she's experienced the switch or had gotten in contact with her soulmate yet, and she'd always say no because she really hadn't.

It's just that he hasn't asked as of recently, and with their fight being just a few weeks ago, Wren wasn't really comfortable bringing it up anyway.

Telling her brother, Jason, on the other hand, was a completely different worry. Whatever the place, time, or situation, if any boys at all were mentioned he'd go ballistic. The 11 year old was more interested in her love life than video games— well that was a bit of an lie. Nothing was more important to Jason than spending time playing games. Anyway, Wren was sure that the boy was going to torment her once he found out.
