Trudy sighed, twirling her curly chocolate-like hair. She had been setup by her friend, she wondered if her date will ever come. She cursed her friend for his way of words and convincing others. She checks her phone; 7:30. To be fair, she was early. By five minutes but still she was. Those five minutes felt like five hours, she fidgeted with her hands, still waiting. Not even a minute later someone sat next to her, she looked at them. They surely fit the description her friend gave her. Short red-ish orange hair, diamond blue eyes, painted black nail polish on her nails, an over sized hoodie with yoga pants, which made Trudy feel as if she over dressed, she wore a light purple skirt along with a checkered black and white long-sleeve shirt, along with matching knee-high socks. She had an odd fashion sense sometimes. Now was one, her right sock was the same shade of purple as her skirt and her left sock was black and white checkers. She wore a black little choker, she had hoped this didn't scare the ginger off, but instead the ginger smiled "You're Trudy, right?" The ginger asked, Trudy smiled and nodded "That I am." She replied, her tone sweet. "Good- Wait, do you know my name? I know how Eathan can be." Trudy shook her head no "No, I asked but he described me to you, that's about it." The ginger smiled "That little shit. Anyways, I'm Griffin. Nice to meet you. Also, cool outfit! I really should've dressed up more...sorry." Trudy giggled, Griffin talked a lot, though Trudy liked it. "Nice to meet you too, and it's fine, no need to apologize." Trudy smiled, she hopes that Griffin wasn't like past dates, Eathan said she wasn't but Trudy still had her doubts. "So, Griffin tell me about yourself." The ginger looked like one to explore, or maybe just take a stroll in the woods? Griffin spoke and that brought Trudy back to reality. "Well, I have three little loveable demons, also known as brothers," Griffin giggled slightly as she said that. "I'm twenty two last time I checked, and I work as a bartender down at the local bar here." Trudy smiled, inching closer to Griffin. Trudy was the kind of friend to rest her head on a friend's shoulder and have it be platonic. She hoped it wasn't too fast for Griffin though. Instead the ginger looked to Trudy, their face slightly flushed. "Um," Griffin glanced at Trudy's hand "Anyways, what's your story?" Trudy smiled, grabbing Griffin's hand "Well, I have an older sister, I felt sorry for her when I was younger," Trudy yawned, rubbing her eyes with her free hand. "I'm twenty one, and work part time as a barista, I'm still looking for a full time job. That's about it for me." Griffin nodded before speaking "Are you tired? If so we can cut the date short and-" Trudy giggled "Slightly," she said, cutting Griffin off. "But I'll be fine, a couple hours won't hurt." Trudy stood up, letting Griffin's hand go. "So, where to?" The ginger stood up after Trudy, looking around. "Um," she looked to Trudy "You like roses?" Trudy smiled, nodding. "Of course, why?" Griffin smiled "No reason, wanna walk around or something? Maybe go get something to eat? I'm sorry- I'm not good at this." Trudy smiled "Food sounds nice." Griffin smiled and nodded "Sounds great to me," the ginger grabbed Trudy's hand "I know the perfect place, dear." Trudy nodded, her cheeks a shade of pink form the comment, Griffin grabbed Trudy's hand and began to walk, Trudy simply let Griffin drag her along.

The ginger began to slow down, Trudy looked curious "What, did you have a picnic packed or something?" She asked genuinely. Griffin giggled "No," Griffin reached out, picking a flower and showing it to Trudy. "But, it's a rose, you liked them right?" Trudy smiled, taking the rose carefully. She looked to Griffin's hand and saw blood. "Oh, um." Trudy tried hard not to cringe imagining the thorn poking Griffin, Griffin just giggled nervously. "Sorry?" Trudy panicked "Oh, no, don't apologize, it's fine, really. I just, well, care." Trudy slowly began to cuss herself out in her head. Griffin smiled "I'm fine, takes more then this to take me down." Trudy nodded "Right, um..." Trudy grabbed Griffin's hand, leading her back. "You know, it's still not good leaving a wound uncared for." Griffin smiled "I'm sure I'll be alright." Trudy sighed "Fine, fine. Let's go, alright?" She smiled. Griffin nodded "Ah, right." Trudy smiled, twirling the rose lightly. Griffin began to walk again, Trudy yet again let Griffin just drag her along. She smiled as she looked at Griffin, hoping this would actually work.
