Once upon a time, there was a kind young dragon whose name was lost to history. The legends said the dragon was born to protect the world and almost all humans on earth. The dragon was said to have a full grasp of time, letting anyone move faster or slower, pausing or continuing to see the dragon. While the earth has continued without the dragon we fear that the earth will crash long before it will come back. time. Our knights once prayed to the dragon for help in wars, but in the last 100 years, we haven't

"I'll go look for the dragon!" Yelled one young lady raising her hand, while everyone else in the knight's covenant laughed. This only made the young girl more determined to go out and find the dragon. This young girl was no older than 21, while beautiful, tall, and strong, she wasn't bright.

"Well Susie, the dragon would be hard to find, probably impossible," said the storyteller who Susie had rudely Interrupted.

"Well, where was it last seen?" Susie asked standing still wearing her armor and keeping her sword in its sheath.

"Well the Highlands will be the most likely place," the storyteller said but had gotten interrupted again by Susie. She jumped up from her chair, running out the building, taking her sword out, and yelling.

"For the glory of Scotland!" Susie's Journey took her into the forest, the armor was protecting her from nature in the way but made traveling hard, Susie was not the one to slow down or take breaks. Her sword was one passed down by her family since her great, great, great grandfather who was the blacksmith that made the sword. Almost any beast who tried to fight Susie fell in only one swipe, the sword was still as sharp as the day it was made, it could never be chipped or scratched. Once through the forest Susie came upon the Highlands and started to climb up the high hills. The heat wasn't getting to Susie she was used to hot climates since she trained in places hotter than the climate. The creatures never tried to fight Susie due to seeing her in the forest and slaying most in her way to the dragon. Just as she got to the top she took a break to drink some water since she was still human yet she seemed to be a demigod by her strength and determination alone. This was the only time she would take a break to watch the creatures work for the day. The peaceful scene was perfect for Susie to watch and relax for the first time in her whole life. Just seconds later Susie got back to her feet and ran back into the action of finding the dragon. She spotted a simple cave opening with the sounds of snoring leaking out from the deep part of the cave, Susie seeing it as the goal or a challenge. The cave was dark and cold, something Susie wasn't used to the cold was dragging her down as if it was making her sleepy. She only took a couple of steps and passed out on something soft. Just as she slept the soft thing awoke and moved both itself and Susie outside the cave to warm each other up.

"Young one please wake up," said the thing using its tail to shake her. Susie, feeling her body getting warmer awoke to see the dragon in front of her and jumped up in the excitement

"Dragon, I found you!" Susie yelled as the dragon looked at her before she added on, "Come on let's go back to the village so I can prove I found you!"

"I'm sorry young one but I shall not because my purpose was to protect humans until they could protect themselves," the dragon said before turning around to head back into the cave.

"Wait please come back!" Susie begged before heading back in disappointment. Once home everyone laughed at Susie for thinking the dragon was more than a children's legend. Until one summer's day, the dragon flew down to the village to find all of them in mourning, Susie had died in the war protecting them all. The dragon joined them in mourning, regretting not coming along to prove itself, and the people now regretted making fun of Susie who now couldn't hear their apologies for the rudeness they showed her now seeing she was right along. Susie's spirit wished they could know she was more at peace knowing she died to protect the village than anything else. In the later years, the people and the dragon moved on but not before making a statue in the middle of the town of Susie and the dragon.
