sharing a room

"I am sorry, Mr Agreste but we only have a single bed and double bed room left."
The hotel receptionist said with a shy smile, holding the two room keys out.
Adrien smiled taking one of the keys.
"i'll take the single room, father."
and with that the boy walked away.
"Are you sure no other rooms are available?"
Nathalie spoke up.
"I am afraid not miss."
Nathalie let out a sigh and took the key, walking away. Gabriel following closely behind.
"i'll take the sofa, sir"
Gabriel frowned at his assistant.
"it doesn't look very comfortable, Nathalie.
Please i insist you take one side of the bed, after all tomorrow's event is going to be tiring and it's just for two nights."
Nathalie wasn't in any mood to argue against Gabriel so she agreed to share the bed with her boss.
"speaking of tomorrow's event, what are you wearing? your normal work attire as usual?"
Gabriel puzzled setting his own dark purple tuxedo out on one of the chairs.
Nathalie smiled.
"actually, i brought a dress with me, i don't really wear dresses, except of course when i was Mayura two years ago."
Nathalie frowned upon the memory of her villain alter ego, however she was glad it was in the past now and Gabriel had chosen to re build his relationship with his son.
"so you will see the dress tomorrow."
she let out a soft yawn as she spoke.
"Perhaps we should get some rest, which side of the bed would you like?"
Gabriel asked.
"i'll take the left side if you don't mind, Sir."
and with that they climbed into bed.
Gabriel was laying on his back, looking up at the ceiling, while Nathalie was on her side, her back to her boss.
"good night, sir"
Nathalie softly whispered.
Gabriel turned his head to look at her.
he smiled.
"good night, Nathalie."

that night, Gabriel couldn't sleep.
he turned to face his assistant , who was now also facing him.
He watched as her chest slowly fell and rose with every breath.
he couldn't help but smile at her once stern features, now softened by her sleep.
His eyes slowly began to feel heavy and he felt himself succumb to sleep.
a small smile gracing his features.
