A/N: I do not know many things about this movie, so a lot of this was made from scratch. No spoilers in the comments please. It's just a short thing to hold my hype over!

The sun began to set around seven PM, turning the once beautiful blue skies to a deep orange. The once white clouds began to become tainted with dark clouds, hazily covering the harsh gazes of the tropical heat. Everyone at the Oceanside Annex of Apex Laboratories were hard at work, with scientists scrambling up and down the hollow and dimly lit halls, slews of papers and vanilla folders flying through the air amidst the chaos.

On the neighboring beach sat a perplexed Field Operative Alex Tymore, staring into seemingly endless abyss of still water that ran all the way into the distance. He was worried, the quakes in the ground were getting progressively worse, and with Monarch running out of time to figure out the source, everyone's eyes were turning to Apex, who were the newcomers to the game of prevention of Titan attacks. He clenched a paper he read, showing the seismic activity underneath all of the major cities in the world, before throwing the paper to the ground in an upset roar. Cairo, Hong Kong, New York, and San Diego were only a few of the cities on the long list of heavy earthquake sites.

"Dammit," He cursed, putting his hands on his head, "We're running out of time."

Time...who even knew if there was any time left? He had proposed to the heads of the Organization that the best course of action was to collaborate with Monarch, but they insisted that depending on, for what they called them, benevolent Titans, was too risky of a move to get behind, and that Monarch were fools in trusting those monsters...especially Godzilla. Rin Serizawa was specifically vocal when that name came up. He tried to tell them that they were almost out of options, but that got him practically laughed out of the office.

Of course, the suits wouldn't trust the ones they PAY to research and suggest tactics.

It made him sigh in defeat, kicking the chart-covered paper into the saltwater for good measure. Though, he had to take a double take when he had realized that the waves had risen a good distance from where they were before. Odd...he didn't see anything on the news about rising tides...

That was when his pager rang on his belt. With a jump, he quickly grabbed it with his right hand, flicking the button with his thumb.

"Tymore here,"

"Mayday, Mayday!" The other end of the communicator beamed, the voice muffled by the blaring sounds of sirens. "H-he's coming! Evacuate!! Get everyone the hell out!!"

"Wait," Alex doubled back, "He? Who's he?"

It was too late. The connection was severed by the harsh sound of static. Alex tried desperately to get the connection back, flicking the button multiple times and shouting hello at the top of his lungs. He felt coolness touch his ankles, prompting him to look down, until he froze.

His whole foot was underwater...and it was rising fast.

That was when he saw it in the distance...3 massive rows of armored plating tearing through the dark water, just barely illuminated by the lights of the facility. It didn't seem like he was the only one who got the message...sirens started to blaring loudly, spotlights began to shine towards the water's edge. A full platoon of armored vehicles soon turned up, all plastered with the Apex Sciences trademark, and aimed at the water's edge, locked and loaded.
