Calum's POV
I wake up to my phone buzzing with notifications. A few messages and a few followers. Pretty much the same. I do have a lot of friends at school, I'm hoping there friends at least. I go downstairs and my sister is playing her piano and my mom and dad are making breakfast. Some people would call it the perfect family, but it's pretty chaotic. Once I get to the table my mom quickly sets my breakfast, takes my sisters hand and the rush out of the door. My dad gives me wink and follows behind them. My sister goes to a special arts program and her school starts really early. My parents have all these meetings they have to attend so they always go right after her school starts. Which leaves me. My school doesn't start for another half hour but I might as well get going. I put on my backpack and shoes and head out the door. I usually walk to school but. "Hey Calum!" This girl and her friends pull up to my drive way. "Uh hi?" One of them starts to twirl her hair. "Do you want a ride?" The blonde girl in the front winks at me. "Uh actually I think I will pas-"
"Oh come on Calum, Please!" One of the girls start to beg.
"Wait how do you even know my name, I've never seen you in my life."
"How do we not!" I start to roll my eyes "yeah sorry girls but I will just stick to walking." I don't even wait for there response and continue to walk. I feel like they would just use me to get them selves 'popular'. Once I get inside I'm already late. I have to get to gym class and I have to pass the library as a short cut. Once I pass this girl drops all her books. She was carrying about twenty. She had dark brownish hair and glasses but they were cute. I guess I should help her out. I walk up to her and help her with some books. She looks up at me with a smile. "Thank you so much." I handed her the remainder of the books. "No problem." I felt like my face was heating up. i start to walk away quickly to get to class.
----------------after school---------------
I start to walk out of my science class as quickly as possible before people stop to talk to me. I try to avoid most people because I can't deal with anyone right now. I sorta hate being the 'popular' type at my school, because everyone uses me for it. Don't get me wrong, I love the attention but the friendship isn't real. I get to the boys change room because I have football practice right after school everyday. I'm the captain so I have to be there pretty early. Once we get out I see the same blonde guy with a fringe watching us from the bus stop. He always watched us, it seemed pretty nice. Once we were done my team always picks me up for a victory. I get out of the field and start to head home. But I'm not alone, there are always a few people surrounding means they try to impress me with there small talk. I try to seem interested but I never really am. Once I get home my sister was on my laptop. "Mali get off my laptop!" She just glared at me. " Jesus Calum" she walks away with her middle finger stick up at me. I roll my eyes and look at my laptop. She was on some website called oovoo? Meet new friends instantly.. Why was she even on this site, she has plenty of real friends. But I don't maybe I could give it a shot maybe someone will actually be my friend for me and not for my popularity. I login and it puts me in a chat room. "Hi I'm michael!" I just stare at the screen. Maybe this is a bad idea, maybe it isn't. "Hi I'm Calum." Then two more join the chat.
