The idea

I picked at the hang nail on my index finger as the guys started yelling loudly over the lunch table about their plans for the Summer holidays. We were sitting right in the middle of the lunch hall and were gaining quite a few stares due to the loudness of our group.
"Keep it down Jesse." Rosie, the only other girl in this group muttered. She never used to hang out with us, but only started doing so when she became Jesse's girlfriend.
"Yeah, yeah whatever." he grumbled and moved his bag so she could sit down next to him.
"Are we going to revise after school today?" Rosie asked hopefully, being the smartest and most devoted student of the group.
"Nope." Evan stated whilst picking a piece of chicken out of his sandwich and flicking it across the table at Josh, to which Josh responded with his middle finger.
"Our Evan, ever the scholar" Adam chuckled.
Adam was my best friend. He had been my best friend since I was about 7 years old and he saved me from this big kid in my year at school who was convinced that if he shoved my head down a toilet, I would become his girlfriend. Thanks but no thanks.

There was no doubt about it, Adam Taylor was a player. Everybody knew this, yet girls still managed to fall for him, and were still surprised that their hearts ended up broken. To be honest, I could understand why people fell for him. He was tall, he had dark blonde hair that was swept to one side and dark green eyes that when you looked in to them, made you feel like he thought you were really important. Plus, he was a really nice guy. He was relaxed, funny and always had time for you -
Especially if you were a hot, horny female.

The others weren't as much of a player as Adam, although Evan liked to think he was. Evan was quite cute too, with messy brown hair, light blue eyes and a cheeky grin, yet he just wasn't as... exciting. Adam was mysterious and charming, where as Evan was more goofy and fun.
Josh was less successful with the ladies, and he was more of a quiet character. He had dark skin and hair, along with a pair of round, hazel eyes. He could easily get a girl if he tried, yet he preferred to stay with one girl for a couple weeks rather than have a one night stand, which is why in comparison he seemed less successful.
Jesse on the other hand had been bagged by the ever charming Rosie King. Jesse had a mop of dark hair, olive skin and deep brown eyes - he was extremely good looking. Yet, Jesse Tucker wasn't the sort of guy to leave a girl in the morning without breakfast... or a year long relationship.
So yes, whilst Evan and Adam went through girls like they were items at a till, Jesse preferred to put effort in to a relationship. Which is where Rosie came in. Rosie was smart, funny and absolutely beautiful with long blonde hair, sparkling silver eyes and a figure to die for, yet she could still be one of the boys. Which is why we kept her around.

I laughed at Adam's comment and offered him a crisp from the packet I was holding, which he gladly accepted and took a handful.
"I just can't be bothered. They're only exams." Evan retorted with a snort.
"Yes, exams which decide whether or not you can get a job and earn enough money to live." Rosie said, with a shocked look.
"Yeah, but I only need to get a C in five subjects to get in to sixth form, and those are the years that matter." he said, as if he was pointing out the obvious, yet Jesse quickly replied;
"But Evan, how are YOU ever going to get a C?"
Evan sat thinking for a little while before a look of panic crossed his face. "Yeah, Rosie I think we are revising after school."
We all laughed and then began talking about Summer again.
"Think about it." I sighed, "73 days of doing absolutely nothing."
"Apart from partying," Adam interjected
"And drinking," Evan added.
"True!" I laughed "But we won't be doing that all the time."
"Sure we can!" Josh said excitedly.
"Do you guys have no imagination? I suggest that we make a Summer bucket list!" Rosie grinned
The boys looked at eachother as if in bewilderment before Rosie explained;
"We all pick, say... 5 things to do, and we put them all on a big list and aim to do them before Summer is over."
"That sounds awesome!" I exclaim "Let's do it."
And so it was decreed, that our Summer would be spent trying to complete 30, (most likely dangerous or stupid) challenges before we had to come back here and start the next stage of our lives. This was gonna be one heck of on adventure.

I hope you guys like it! It took me so long to come up with names and stuff so it better be good :P Sorry it's so short, but it's only the introduction. Please comment and vote :) - Penny
