WHOOSH.

I felt the warm, breezy air brush against my face. I didn't know how fast I was running.

I wanted to see him..

I didn't even know why I was in a rush. I would meet the man tomorrow but.. It felt better to do so now for some reason.

Slimes wouldn't get in my way. Nor would feeble hilichurls, samachurls, mitachurls or even abyss mages for that matter.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

What was this feeling? My head was spinning and I felt hot. My legs were moving but they felt so exhausted.

I collapsed. Well, I almost did.

"Woah. Are you alright?" A familiar voice spoke.

"..M?"

"I'm here. What's got you in a cold sweat like that?? You're burning up, Diluc."

I felt my heart only ache more when he called my name. Oh, Megamind.. it's all your fault that I'm like this.. shamelessly falling in love.

"I.. I missed you." I stuttered. I was unable to look at him directly in the eye.

"We should head back to the tavern.. I can go get you some medi-"

"It's okay! Well, I-I mean we can jut go back to the Dawn Winery. It's closer."

"Dawn Winery?"

"It is my home. Not far from here, probably a few miles south at most."

Megamind nodded in agreement and lifted me up - princess carrying me.

"What are you doing?!" I gasped.

"This is the most efficient way to bring you there, Diluc."

I tried to hide my face by pretending I was asleep on his shoulder. I wondered if he could see the red tint on my ears, or the rose colored cheeks on my face..

Eventually though, I did manage to fall asleep somehow.

Embarrassing as it was, I guess I've fallen hard enough for Megamind to still be able to sleep soundly whilst being carried like a princess being saved from a dragon.
