Jonghyun reached his Aunt's town this morning. His aunt told him to rest but he couldn't sleep. So decided to take a walk in his aunt's farms.
It was a beautiful marigold garden. He was roaming among the knee high plants that were planted in various rows. He wanted this silence. And he was glad that there was no one to disturb him in his alone time. His silent walk came to a stop when his attention was caught on a specific plant.
The Night Queen.
And immediately his eyes brimmed with unshed tears. Many unnamed memories filled his mind yet again. He remembered the first time he had met Taemin.
He was 11 years old when he was carrying a bag full of groceries. His father yet again scolded him for being useless and told him to go shopping.
It was not something that wasn't used to. Ever since he had presented as omega his parents' behaviour had changed. This was just everyday thing, where his parents would degrade him on various things. Mainly because he was an omega. He would get scolded or sometimes even beaten up for useless reasons. But he never thought of leaving them because of his Minho Hyung, who loved him dearly despite him being an omega. Minho would always protect him from his parents. At least there was someone who valued him.
He never regretted presenting as omega. But he just despised that he presented too early that lead his happy days to vanish.
So he was finished with the shopping and was heading home when he heard someone crying.
There was small boy. Maybe a year or two younger than him. He felt tug at his heart as his feet automatically lead him towards the other.
"Hey.. Why are you crying??", He asked as softly as possible.
"T-Tae... He is lost. Now what am I gonna do? Eomma, Appa are gonna be so disappointed that I couldn't p-protect him. We shouldn't have left the p-palace.", The boy sobbed. Jonghyun immediately brought him into a hug.
"Aigoo... You are one sensitive kid. We will find Tae. Who is he by the way? And what's your name?", He asked wiping his tears.
"Tae.. my little brother. And my name is T-taemin.", He hiccuped. Jonghyun shushed him. He felt a strong connection towards the other male.
They started meeting often after that. It was there own little secret. Well just Taehyung involved in it. And afterwards Taehyung's friends too...
Jonghyun was shocked when Taemin presented as an Alpha. He always thought that he would present as an omega. But whatever. Alpha or Omega. Taemin will always remain his sweet and soft Taeminnie...
He remembered how Taemin would buy a bunch of Night Queen flowers to gift him. He would be always be amazed at where did he get those. Because Night Queen flowers were very rare in Daegu. It will always remain a secret.
But he remembered how Taemin would always bury his nose in his neck while mumbling, "You smell so sweet Hyung.."
Whenever he complained that he shouldn't have presented this earlier, Taemin would always give him his brightest smile and and kissed him sweetly while saying, "The Prettiest flowers bloom earliest Hyung. Because they know how to make their presence known..."
That little gesture would never fail to melt him in puddy. And his
Jonghyun silently wiped his tears. He needed to forget all this for god's sake.
"You forgot something."
A voice startled him. A voice that was way too much familiar. He turned around to face him.
"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with you ma... mate right now?", Jonghyun asked keeping his composure calm.
"Ohh... Then I'm at tight place.", Taemin said smiling while pulling out the very familiar blue sapphire necklace. Jonghyun was surprised a little but decided to not show it on his face. His eyes landed on the necklace.
"I sent the message to you to gift it to your mate.", Jonghyun calmly said. He would never admit that his Omega was preening to jump on his alpha that was standing in front of him.
"I had already gifted it to my mate. Until he decided to give it back to me.", Taemin said shrugging. Jonghyun gasped a little.
"I'm not your mate."
"Yeah... That's why your omega is calling for me.", Taemin chuckled nonchalantly.
"What about your wedding?"
"I don't know. Didn't stop to witness it.", Taemin said taking step towards the shorter.
"Then?", Jonghyun widened his eyes.
"I thought I should at least receive my mate and then attend the wedding. How can I marry alone without my mate?", He said still going closer. Jonghyun unconsciously stepped back.
"You're an idiot."
"I know.", Taemin whispered.
"I don't want idiot like you.", Jonghyun said.
"Is that why your your scent has become sweet?", Taemin said standing in front of Jonghyun towering the omega. Jonghyun looked at him with wide eyes that never failed to mesmerize the alpha.
Taemin suddenly pulled Jonghyun by his waist who shrieked as he buried his nose in his neck inhaling the rich night queen scent. Unknowingly Jonghyun smiled when he felt Taemin tying the nacklace around his neck and placing a sweet kiss on his scent gland.
Jonghyun tugged him away and hit his chest, "You're an idiot."
"I know.", Taemin said cupping his face and placing sweet repeated pecks on his full lips.
"You're the dumbest alpha I have ever seen."
"I know." Peck.
"You're always the one to cry first."
"I know." Peck.
"You mouth stinks in morning."
"I know", Taemin said chuckling while few tears left his eyes too.
"But you are my mate!", Jonghyun whispered circling his arms around Taemin's neck and deepening the kiss. It was sweet and adoration filled kiss which both of them loved.
"Indeed... My pretty mate!!"
