Chapter 12

  I could feel something moving around on my chest when I started to wake up again. A soft cry alerted me that it was one of the babies that were laying on my stomach. I pulled my hand up to rub the babies back to get it to stop crying. I opened my eyes to see the swaddled baby laying on my chest. I felt a hand rub the side of my still really swollen stomach and jumped a little forgetting that I was laying against Daniel.

  "How are you feeling?" Ethan asked placing a hand on my stomach. It was hurting some but not very bad.

  "Sore. My stomach and hip are hurting but not very bad. It is more my hip than my stomach right now." I told him. He nodded and pressed into my stomach. I slapped his hand away and he laughed.

  "I am just trying to feel where the baby is sitting. No need to slap me." Ethan said earning a glare from me. He laughed and left the room. He came back in with my mom and sister.

  "The two of them wanted to meet the baby. Our father wanted to as well but he decided to wait until later." Ethan said. My sister came over and sat on the bed beside me. She took the baby off me chest and held her.

  "Say hello to your niece." She told me. The little baby opened her eyes and looked up at her with big blue eyes.

  "Aww look she has your blue eyes." Daniel said. I smiled and looked at the baby. Her faced scrunched up like she was about to start crying. My mom took her from my sister and started walking around calming her down.

  "Let's go down stairs so that your dad can meet her. Maybe the walking around will help these two speed up some. These contractions are killing my back right now." I told Daniel and Ethan. My mom held the baby while Daniel and Emma helped my out of the bed. Daniel kept his arm wrapped around me while I slowly made my way down the stairs. We found Zach sitting on the couch watching something on the tv. My mom handed me the baby and I walked over to the couch and sat down.

  "Say hello to Elizabeth." I told him. He placed a hand over her and she grabbed onto his finger with her tiny hands. There was a knock on the door. My sister went to answer it because everyone else was cooing over the baby in my arms.

  "Now we just have to wait for the other two to decide that they are ready to make an appearance." My mom said. My sister came into the room with a guy who was dressed in a suit. I looked up to see that it was the same guy from the hospital. He came over and stood in front of me.

  "James and his crew have been arrested and won't be bothering any of you again." He told me. I nodded and was about to respond when I felt something wet run down my leg and a horrible contraction tore through me making me cry out.

  "T-take her f-from me." I cried almost throwing Emma at Zach. I heard someone say shit then someone running over to me. I am lifted off the couch.

  "Let's get her back up the stairs. You four stay down here with her. If everyone is in the room it will stress her out more and thats not good for the baby." I heard Ethan said while Daniel ran up the stairs with me. I was placed down on the bed as another contraction ripped through my stomach.

  "Can you feel where the head is? I don't want to check like I did last time because you passed out." Ethan said. I just cried out as I felt the burn of the head against my exit.

  "I-its coming out." I cried. Ethan sat me up and got behind me. He wrapped his arms around me and started saying soothing words into my ear.

  "Come on you have got this. You are crowning now." Ethan told me. I felt Daniel grab my legs and brought them to my chest. I brought my chin to my chest and pushed as hard as I could. I couldn't feel the babies head move down.
