Ghostbur bounced into the cafe, looking around for Y/N before smiling to himself, seeing his best friend and bouncing over, the faded brunette plopping down in the seat across from his friend. "Y/NNNN.. Hi..!". Ghostbur's soft and echoey voice rang out joyfully, poking at his friend's arm, with their head was on the table.
"Y/N..? Hey what's wrong..?" Realizing now that something was wrong, Ghostbur stood up and crouched beside his friend, rubbing their back carefully. "Hey what's wrong..?" Not really looking for a reaction, Ghostbur gasped quietly when Y/N lifted their head, revealing their tear stained face.
Quickly pulling out a handkerchief and drying their face, Ghostbur gazed at his friend with worried eyes, rubbing one of their cheeks with his thumb. "What happened..?"
After a pause, Y/N's voice croaked out quietly "[ex boyfriend/girlfriend] broke up with me.. I mean.. I knew.." Ghostbur watched his friend sadly bite their bottom lip to try and restrict tears from rolling down their cheeks again. Standing up a little, Ghostbur hugged his friend, letting them sob into his chest while he rubbed their back, and messed with their hair.
"I'm sorry, Y/N.. I know.. it hurts loosing people..." Ghostbur spoke softly and calmly, not trying to hide the sympathy that laced his words, hugging them gently. Y/N tried choking out a few words between sobs, but Ghost squeezed them lightly, letting them know that they didn't have to speak at all.
Ghostbur pulled back a little and crouched down slightly, once his friend calmed down. "Why don't we go walk in the outdoor mall, we might see some dogs, and I can get some blue paints." Ghostbur laughed softly once his friend's eyes glowed at the sound of paints.
Ghostbur knew his friend well enough, to know they loved painting out their feelings, and loved painting with various shades of blue paints and dyes. "Let's get some drinks, then we can go. I was hoping to get a latte." Ghostbur smiled to his friend, standing up and walking to get drinks, already knowing his friend's order by heart.
Once coming back, Ghostbur, set down the drink and smiled, sitting down to enjoy company with his best friend.
