(Y/N) covered her eyes from the sun, she was back in Liyue Harbor after years

"We'll use the first day to get settled, tomorrow we'll start collecting info" Tartaglia said to the girl before walking away to get a look around the city. (Y/N) decided why not take a walk too?

"(Y/N)? Is that you?"

She turned around and saw a familiar face, the bright green hair from her childhood

"Baizhu?"

He slowly walked closer and closer to (Y/N) eventually wrapping her into a hug

"It's been how many years..."

Baizhu pulled away, his hands resting on her shoulders. Suddenly something pulled at his sleeve

"Dr.Baizhu, Qiqi brought the herbs you needed"

He patted the small girl on the head and thanked her

"This is Qiqi, she's well...a zombie, she was found encased in amber for how many years now. She works with me at the pharmacy"

'Thank the archons I thought he had a kid'

"What are you doing back here in Liyue, (Y/N)? I thought you needed to stay in Mondstadt?"

She froze, she didn't want to tell him that she's a Fatui member

"I made a promise to return right? Well not permanently, I'm here for a...vacation!"

she was lying through her teeth, it's not a complete lie, she made sure to make it known that she's not staying

"I can't believe you still remembered that promise" he laughed

"Do you wanna go to the pharmacy? I need to take the herbs that Qiqi brought and make medicine"

"Oh you're in the middle of a job, it's fine I can just go around the city"

Baizhu shook his head "Don't worry about it" he gently grabbed her hand and walked to the pharmacy.

It's a familiar feeling, the feeling of blood rushing to her face, she feels so ...warm, so different from the constant cold of Zapolyarny palace.

"Hm? What's wrong? Are you sick?" he quickly put a hand on the girl's neck which made her even more of a blushing mess "It's just the sun".

They spent the whole day reminiscing and catching up at the same time with each other

"Baizhu, I...need to talk to you for a sec"

"Ah alright, Qiqi can you help Gui with arranging the medicine?"

Qiqi left and now it's just the two of you

"I'm not here on vacation, I'm here for business with the Fatui"

Baizhu looked a bit taken aback "Why are you involved with the Fatui?"

She explained the entire situation to Baizhu

"(Y/N), I'll get you out of there"

(Y/N) was shocked

"No...I don't want you to get involved, just see me as (Y/N) not a Fatui member, act like I never told you. I want you to...see me as the (Y/N) from 4 years ago"

"Why did you tell me then?"

(Y/N) stayed silent "I don't want you to find out in a different way, I don't want to die and that's when you'll find out. It's best you find out now"

"I don't care if you don't want me to get involved, I'll get you out"

(Y/N) felt tears prick her eyes for the first time in years as Baizhu wrapped her in a warm embrace

"Now just get some rest".

After saying goodbye to Qiqi and Baizhu, (Y/N) left the pharmacy

"Who was that, (Y/N)?"

she turned to her side and saw the harbinger "An old friend, I just wanted to say hi"

"Aren't you going back to the inn? It's late" she asked Tartaglia

"I'm going to go look around some more, you go ahead" he said in his usual playful tone and walked away

She's grown used to the personalities of the harbingers already, she's had it printed in her head basically.

She collapsed on her bed and shut her eyes, tomorrow will be eventful...

It's 3 in the morning and me and my sister are just binging this kdrama (it's called Penthouse and by GOD it's good) anyways we'll be finishing this episode then I'll be off to sleep 🐍
