"I like your hair!" Milo stared at rikers hair in amazement. Riker blushed a bit more. "Th-thankyou."
Milo giggled and held his chocolate milk to his chest. "Do you want me to buy you anything?" Riker shook his head. "N-no- I have enough for what I came for." Milo raised his eyebrow but kept a smile on his face. "So? I insist, man. I got a couple hundred to blow tonight."
Rikers eyes widened. He wasn't the type of guy to have a lot of money. And seeing the boy infront of him shine even brighter by being so kind, he couldn't help but smile. "I-i mean...i-if you really want to, I guess you can" "Yay!" Milo interrupted in excitement. He was smiling brighter than the stars in the sky. Milo took his black studded wallet out of the top of his knee highs and handed it to Riker. "Here! Spend as much as ya want!"
Riker thought for a moment. He thought he Milo saw him as just a poor punk looking for cigarettes like most of the guys in patch jackets around town. He only grew sad from the thought. He spoke with a low tone. "Ok…"
Milo tilted his head at the sadness but decided not to question it. He thought his good deed would make Rikers day better. And he saw the monster energy drinks that Riker was looking at. So he got an idea. In that moment, both of them split up around the corner store and looked around. Riker wandered 2 isles over to the candy section and Milo went straight for the spot that Riker was crouched down in previously.
As he stared at a pack of non-perels, Riker hesitated. Is he using me as a human shield? I mean I know I'm scary but-...really?
Milo began to snatch 3 of every flavor of monster energy that was in the freezer. He was gonna spoil Riker. Ofcourse Riker may have been new to him but he looked too stunning to ignore. Riker was cute to him. Hot even. He was trying not to sweat even though he was in a skirt. He adjusted his choker as he put the drinks in his hand-held basket.
Riker grabbed a few different typed of candy. Mostly chocolates. He was a sucker for chocolates. He had M&Ms, chocolate truffles, and some kitkats at hand. The three musketeers of his top 10 favorite foods. It was ultimately a craving for him.
After a few minutes of collecting, Milo skipped over to Riker. He put his basket down and took Rikers', putting them both down next to eachother. He then grabbed Riker and gave him a tight hug.
Riker was left in surprise but he eventually hugged back carefully. He wasn't very used to hugs let alone any type of affection. He was more the one to get pushed into the street or kicked off the swing. Just a punching bag for angry guys that were bigger than him.
Milo giggled and let go of Riker. He picked the baskets back up. "You get everything you wanted?" Riker looked down. He didn't get the monsters he wanted and didn't bother to mention it. "Y-yeah." "Ok. Let's go and pay then. You can hand over the wallet to the guy too." Milo turned and began to walk to the waiting line. Riker got nervous at the mention of him being pushed into a social situation. But he just nodded and followed along.
Milo skipped up to the counter and Riker silently followed. The pink haired placed the baskets down on the counter with a bright smile and looked at Riker. He softly whispered. "Are you sure you don't want anything else?" Riker shakily nodded in response and just silently slid the wallet in his hand onto the counter. He pulled his hand back quickly and his fingers retreated to his pockets.
Milo frowned in worry. He didn't wanna see Riker upset. He wanted his sunshine to shine bright. In whatever way possible.
The clerk looked up at both of the males as they started putting their items into a paper bag. "Your total is $87.46."
Rikers eyes widened as be heard the words leave from the clerks mouth. He thought that he caused the total to be so good. So he looked down in sadness. Milo saw this and frowned as well. But he picked up his wallet and handed over how much money was needed. He gave exactly how much was said. No change. Nothing.
"Have a nice day." The clerk put the bag with their items in it on the counter. Riker took the bag and held it close, not wanting to drop it. He didn't pay so he was gonna protect the things milo bought for his life. Milo chuckled as be saw Riker hold the bag. It looked like a cute, scared squirrel protecting its precious acorns. Milo put the wallet back in his sock and grabbed Rikers hand, leading him out of the store.
Riker more or less just let himself be pulled along.
