She decided to look for him. Her half-brother Toby was now living with his girlfriend, so he wasn't a problem. Her step-mother died a few years ago, which left her father really devastated. He was now living in the countryside, and came to visit her every Sundays. She couldn't complain. And she didn't.
She didn't know how she would find him, but she knew that somehow, she would. She promised herself she would make it — just like she did years ago.
Hoggle was worried about Jareth's health. He didn't eat, didn't sleep... Hoggle had to admit it: he kind of missed being shouted at. The Goblin City couldn't allow itself to lose its King. But it seemed all of that didn't matter to Jareth. The only thing he ever cared for was Sarah, and now that she's gone, he's just wandering around the castle. Hoggle wanted to help him, but didn't know how.
Jareth often visited the upper ground in the shape of an owl. And he'd always go to Sarah's house and fly around it, and then back down to the underground. He'd promised himself he would see her again, at least once more. Hoggle knew of these escapades to the upper ground, and he'd often substitute him.
"Higgle—"
"Hoggle..." He'll never change, Hoggle thought.
"Yeeees."
"You'll go there, ain't you?"
"Yes."
"Okay. Don't be out for long."
"Yes, mother," Jareth rolled his eyes.He stepped out of the chamber and walked slowly towards the Labyrinth. He got out easily. Heading to the outer walls, he sighed and snapped his fingers. He was in the shape of an owl now. He fluttered his wings a little bit and then proceeded to move them. He set off to the upper ground.
Sarah had just finished all her work, and headed to her house. She unlocked the door, opened it and stepped inside. Closing it again, she sighed and headed to her room. She took off her shoes and threw them away. She didn't care anymore about the room's order.
"Shit, it'll rain soon," she said to herself, looking out her window. Still, she left it a little bit open. Then, her sense of hearing sharpened. She heard a hum in the air, a familiar hum. Flapping across the nighttime, she saw a white owl. The white owl. It came through her half-opened window. Sarah didn't even scream. She was speechless. This chapter was a lil bit longer xD
There'll be more things in chapter 3
