The Powercharged: Beginnings

Chapter 2

In the cottage,the architect and the barista gathered together in a wooden cabin.

"Hello Rick ", the barista said while nodding her head at the architect.

"How are you, Lesha ",Rick replied

Just then, an angry man with blond hair rushed into the room.

"Hello old friend",Rick gestured the the other man.

OLD FRIEND?OLD FRIEND?GIVE ME ONE GOOD REASON I SHOULD NOT KILL YOU WHERE YOU STAND!" shouted the angry man.

"I will be civil considering that you called for this meeting.Why did you want us to meet here,Alexei?"

"AND YOU-Wait.You didn't call this meeting?",he asked confused.

"I thought you did."

The both looked over to Lesha who was sitting down by the fireplace.

"Don't look at me.I figured one of you must have sent the message to me through your phones.",she stared at the two of them.

"If none of us did it,then it was probably -",he was saying before he got cut off by the sound of someone busting through the back door.

"EVERYONE GET OUT NOW!",he called out to them.His shirt was crimson-red from all the wounds that he had.

"Wait what?Min why did you call the meeting."

"What's wrong mate?".They all noticed the blood spewing onto the floor.

"Min,YOU'RE BLEEDING!"

"It.....doesn't matter.",he uttered with heavy breaths.

"They're coming and they're going to kill anyone and everyone you love to get close to you.",his tear drops fell onto the floor.

"Get out now.I'll hold them off.",his arms started glowing golden as he ran out the door.

"Guys we need to help him.Come on!",Lesha shouted enthusiastically to Alexei and Rick.

"Why do I have to work with him...",Alexei muttered under his breath.

The four of them rushed outside to find a squad of soldiers waiting for them.They were wearing hoods and hid their voices with cybernetic changers.They all had grey gas masks with the exception of one who had a red mask.

"Being them in.Thanatos wants them either dead or alive.",a soldier with a red mask told the rest of his subordinates.

They all trained their weapons on Min.
"FIRE!",the soldier with the red mask commanded his subordinates.

Min slammed his fists into the ground,causing minor tremors to knock the majority of the soldiers off their feet.

Some one whizzed past him.He looked to see Rick who brought out a glowing white amulet.

"WHO THE HELL ARE THESE GUYS.",he said while knocking the soldiers down.

"HOW DO WE KNOW?",Alexie shouted.

Lesha and Alexei followed up by merging both their elemental abilities.

Lesha took out her necklace while Alexei put on a red ring.

"Let's go,Alexei!"

"Fine.SIMMER!"

Within seconds,A wave of fire and water swept over the soldiers which incapacitated the majority of the soldiers while Rick shot them with arrows.

"What the hell are these?",Rick asked in disgust.

"The perfect soldiers.Programmed to follow every command without question.A few attacked me on my way here.",Min told them as he slammed the ground,causing a minor earthquake.

"What a workout.We haven't done this in so long.",Min started panting.

Just then,they all heard the sound of metal boots land behind them. Out of nowhere,a metal claw grabbed Min and held him by the throat.A person with a skull silver skull mask and purple eyes held Min high,slowly choking him.The figure wore a cloak which almost covered his entire body and even the bottom half of his mask.

Min struggled to break the grip,even punching the masked assassin with full strength but the figure did not flinch.The masked figure proceeded to kick down Rick and slash Lesha,leaving a scar on her face and limbs.He threw Min off to the side while he menacingly approved the others.

Alexei tried to pull out his giant buster sword but Thanatos sidestepped his slash at the exact timing and cut him in his ribs.

"Initiate explosives.I won't be long.",a coarse and robotic voice came from the figure.

  Within seconds,explosives fell onto the battlefield like falling snow in winter.

Min looked at Lesha,Alexei and Rick,terrified of what will happen.His arms trembling,he lifted this hand and clapped them together.

A protective dome opened up and closed around Lesha,Rick and Alexei.

"Guys",his breaths were heavy and full, "Bring down the Di-"

Min heard them all simultaneously shout, "NO!" before the dome closed as he stood up again to fight the masked figure.

"Min....",Lesha looked down at the floor sorrowfully.

"He can't be gone.He can't be.He can survive,Right Lesha?RIGHT?",Rick asked as Alexei kept hitting the walls of the dome.

"Alexei?",Rick asked.Alexei looked up tears treaming down his face as he wiped them off.

Lesha was punching the soil that they were standing on,sending water throughout the ground.

I can't feel him anymore.",she told them.Her eyes were red and she was sniffling.

The dome started to crumble around them.Shock and despair on their faces as they came to realisation that Min was really gone."

"Guys,we need to go now. Authorities are going to investigate this area soon.",Rick told them before dragging them away.
