Lesha strolled through the field. The calming grass, the nearby river and the chirping birds made her feel at peace. She made her way to the river. The water in it,at times slow,at times rapid.

Lesha exhaled before a little smile broke out on her face. She felt safe and happy near the river. As if it understood her. The sun rose as she heard the chime of the morning meal bell. She quickly rushed back towards the agency building to meet up with her teammates before role call in the hall.

She rushed to the ginormous hall filled with chairs and tables. As the entered, she saw agents lined up in their respective groups. Her teammates waived at her to join them.

"Where have you been?",Min asked her.

"Yeah, you're never late for stuff. What's going on?",Alexei asked.

"Are you alright?",Rick worriedly asked her.

"I'm fine, thank you.",she told him as the sergeant barked out names and orders in the background.

"AGENT 44657!",the sergeant roared.

"YES,SIR!",Min walked towards the sergeant who started whispering things to him.Min nodded his head and marched back to rejoin his group as the roll call ended.

"Biology is starting in 15 minutes, guys.",Min reminded his team.

"You guys go first.I forgot something.Catch up to you guys later!",Lesha told them.

While she was walking, she suddenly tripped over something that felt like a foot. She was caught off guard and tripped before falling face-flat in the hallway.

A group of agents approached Lesha. They were all slightly older than her. Among them,a girl with short brunette hair stood at the very front of the group.

With the way the group waited for her to speak,Lesha concluded that she was the clique leader.

"Hi new girl, nice to meet you! I'm Daphne from group 1 ,and these are my friends.",she introduced herself.

"Nice to meet you!I'm Lesha."

"Hey,we were just wondering, have you ever met the Director before?",they asked.

"Sorry,I haven't.Why?",Lesha asked.

"Huh...",Daphne eyes widened as she slammed her fist into the concrete hallway wall.

"LISTEN HERE.MAYBE YOU HAVEN'T HEARD,BUT I'M IN CHARGE HERE! NOW TELL ME WHY THE DIRECTOR TALKS TO PATHETIC BOTTOM FEEDERS LIKE YOUR TEAM!",she screeched.

"I don't know what your talking about? Also,what..did you call my team?",Lesha clenched her fist.

"I said bottom feeders. I saw the Director talking to one of your group members, it was the short one with brown hair. I can't put my finger on why he's talking to you all,  your parents probably left you because of you all being pathetic-

Lesha immediately smashed Daphne's face in with such strength Daphne got sent flying into a nearby wall. Fear flashed in Daphne's eyes as the usually very quiet, shy and calm Lesha held her by her hair.

"I DON'T CARE WHO YOU ARE.DON'T EVER TALK ABOUT THEM LIKE THAT AGAIN.Next time you do,you're done for!",she menacingly glared at Daphne.

Just then,a tall, handsome lean man stood between the two, raising his palms.

"Hi everyone,is there a problem here? Do you all need some help?",he asked with a smile.

Lesha could hear people mumbling about Atvi in the group.
"I heard he beat 50 soldiers"
"I heard he is going to be the Director's successor"
"I heard he's good with claws"

"Not at all,Atvi! No problems here.",Daphne told him.

"That's great! Class is starting soon so please be there in time, yeah?", Daphne shot one final glance at Lesha as she left to go for her classes.

Lesha gulped because she was now alone with the best agent.

"Hi,you must be Lesha,right?",he asked.

"Yes,yes I am."

"Ahhhh,I see. Min has told me a small bit about you.",he told her.

"Oh."

"You seem to be very loyal to your team. I witnessed what happened earlier."

"Sorry that I injured your group mate.",Lesha apologised.

"It's alright.She was being a jerk anyway."

"She insulted my team and my family and-",Lesha's voice broke.

"It's alright.Us agents have to stick together. That's one of the flaws of the group system.",he said.

"That's wierd coming from the one supposed to be the successor of the Director.".Lesha muttered.

Atvi chuckled to himself.
"Yea sure, People say that but I don't know whether I am or not.",he muttered.

"I mean, you are the best agent here.I think you deserve it.",Lesha grinned.

"Daphne crossed a line. She shouldn't have insulted your team and parents. We're all in this together."

Lesha smiled. As he spoke, Lesha could see the determination and light in his eyes. This man could persuade her or anyone to go to war and they would gladly do it. He had a friendly demeanour and his voice had comfort in it.

"I have a question for you, Lesha."

"How do you know my name?",Lesha thought she was just some random nobody who was ill fated to join the 'worst team' in the agency.

"Min told me about you.".Atvi replied.
"My question is, why do you compete in the Trials. Ask yourself that."

"I don't know actually.Until now,I hadn't ever thought of that. Everyone else just went with it.",Lesha replied.

"But your not everyone else, are you?",Atvi said which made Lesha pause. He proceeded to walk to his classes, leaving Lesha in thought near the river.

Lesha thought to herself. "Was she really doing this for the team? Or was there really something else in her? An ulterior motive.

Atvi smiled to himself.

"I look forward to facing you on the battlefield,Lesha.",he told her as he walked away.
