Hmm... Hidan, huh?

Well, for starters, he's in some kind of middle grounds if we're talking about looks. He's not ugly by any means, but he's not exactly the most attractive character either. There are certainly other gentleman in the series who are better or worse looking than he is. Really, it all depends on your personal preference. But oh my fuck, it's like that man is pure muscle.

Then again, he would have to have a pretty hefty amount of physical strength to be able to weild his tripple-bladed scythe, and more so after he added the cable attachment. So, his buff physique makes a lot of sense.

Not to mention, he's actually a lot smarter than he seems, as he typically seems to know when to retreat and when it's all clear to go in attack mode. As well as being able to get his opponents to reveal the secrets of their powers whilst they are simply flabbergasted by his immortality, as even in a world full of supernatural ninjas, immortality isn't something you see on the regular.

But if we're talking just among the Akatsuki and not the rest of the main cast, he could fall into the list of it's weaker members, especially since his immortality is his only real perk when your leader possesses the fabled Rinnegan and controls six dead bodies to carry out his orders and serve as his vessels in order to battle.

But, despite all this, he's a very interesting but psychotic character. Though he does seem to have a fair bit of hate towards him after he killed Asuma. No offense to his fans, but he's not particularly my favorite, either.
