I was on my way to school, my backpack hanging from my shoulder and my hair fwooshing in the warm breeze. The sound of wheels on the pavement rolled up behind me and I turned to find Reki and Langa skating up to me. I smiled and raised my hand over my head in greeting. To my surprise, I felt two strong arms wrap around my waist and hoist me onto a skateboard. I tilted my head back to lock eyes with Reki. I grinned widely.

"Thanks for the lift, Red!" He grinned down at me before returning his attention ahead of him. His arms remained around my waist, holding me steady against him. My mind raced with swirling thoughts at the feeling of the guy I liked holding me close.

"So, y/n, what're your plans for today?" Langa asked, pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked up to him and told him about how I was taking a shopping trip with my mom after school. We continued talking, and I noticed Reki's grip on my waist tighten ever so slightly, pulling me closer to him.

After my last class for the day, I was putting my things away in my locker when I was tackled by Reki.

"Y/N-HEY-DO YOU WANT ME TO WALK YOU HOME TODAY??" He yelled, holding my arms as his face was overtaken by excitement. I nodded frantically.

"Sure! That'd be great! Thank you!" He smiled widely, his eyes sparkling.

"YESS!!" he fist pumped. "You ready now?" I nodded, grabbing my bag as we walked out. We walked to my house in comfortable silence. I was suddenly aware of his pinky brushing the back of my hand. I looked up at him, then down to our hands where his finger still rested on mine. I tentatively took his hand in mine, lacing our fingers together. My face was completely flushed, perfectly matched to the scarlet covering his cheeks, nose, and ears. He squeezed my hand gently and smiled widely.

When we reached my house, we stopped in front of the gate.

"So...you're coming to the S tonight, right? I'm gonna beef against Atumori, and I'd really like you to be there..." Reki trailed off, scuffing his shoe against the pavement, obviously nervous.

"Of course I'll be there! I wouldn't miss it, Red!" I squeezed his hand once more before quickly kissing the corner of his lips.

"I-I'll-I'll see you lanight-TONIGHT! Tonight! uh- uh- bYe!" I cried before turning and running to my house, leaving a very flustered Reki behind.

I texted my best friend Nobara and told her everything that was going on. She had a lot to say, and she said it all very fast, barely giving me a chance to respond. We talked for hours, catching up on everything we'd missed since she'd moved to Tokyo. Eventually, I bid her farewell and got ready for 'S'. I put on my usual S outfit, grabbed my board and bag, and skated off to meet up with Reki and Langa.

I quickly caught up to the two, falling in line next to them. Reki wasted no time grabbing my hand and twining our fingers together again. The warmth of his hand against the cool night air sent my heart off. I wasn't paying attention to the road and ran into some unknown object that flung me into the air and off my board. Reki's hand immediately gripped mine, his other arm pulling me in by the waist. He pulled me back to my board, his chest touching mine. Our faces inched closer and my eyes fluttered closed...

"WATCH OUT YOU TWO!!!" Our eyes snapped open at the sound of Langa's voice. Unfortunately, it was too late and we ran straight into a low wall. This time both of us flew into the air, thankfully landing safely in a group of bushes.

"Pay more attention, guys!" Langa laughed as he helped us up.

"GO REKI!!!" I yelled, jumping up and down. He was in the lead with only the abandoned warehouse left. Atumori was gaining on him and managed to make it into the warehouse before he did. Just as it looked like Reki might lose, he jumped over Atumori and the last row of stairs, pulling ahead and winning by a hair. I screamed, hugging and shaking poor Langa.

"HE WON LANGA! HE WON!!" Reki found us in the crowd and ran over.

"Hey guys- what's going-" I jumped on him, unable to contain my excitement. I hugged him tight before pulling back and holding his face in my hands.

"Reki!! You won! You're so awesome oh my gosh! The way you-!" I was cut off by his lips pressed firmly against mine. My widened eyes closed and I wrapped my arms around his neck. I felt his arms circle my waist, pulling me closer to him and pulling me up slightly. The crowd cheered around us as we remained blissfully unaware, caught up entirely in each other. We pulled away slowly, our eyes meeting.

"Let me walk you home?" He asked, grinning.

"But of course, my skateboarding prince!"
