Fated enemies- kuroo x reader

My darling nemesis

[authors note: I'm gonna keep this one short since I haven't uploaded in a while, I'll put the authors note stuff all at the bottom, including an explanation for my absence!]

As you walked to school with kuroo you couldn't help but feel nervous, aiko and her friends were probably going to antagonize you more, especially when they find out that they weren't really recorded beating you up... that's just gonna piss them off.

Kuroo looked over to you, who was now visibly anxious. He gently squeezed your hand.

"Chibi Chan~ you alright?"

"I-I'm not sure... I'm just... a bit worried."

"What are you worried about?"

"I'm not sure what aiko is gonna do today, but I can't exactly see her making amends... im scared to see how people will react to the cuts and bruises on me... a-and..." you trailed off

"And?" Kuroo questioned

"And I'm worried about what people will say... about us... what if more people get mad? Or start treating you badly because of it..."

Kuroo stopped walking and turned you towards him, pulling you slightly closer.

"You shouldn't worry too much about that, aiko is strange, most people wouldn't be upset over something like that, we are soulmates after all."

'I like it when he says I'm his soulmate... it makes my heart feel all... warm.'

You smiled softly at kuroo, wrapping your arms around his waist and pulling him into a hug.

"Thank you tetsurou..."

Kuroo could swear that time stopped at that moment. When you hugged him It was as if he could feel all of your emotions, a faint trace of anxiety being washed away by the warmth and comfort that you felt with him. His heart practically skipped a beat when you used his first name.

He couldn't help but feel sad when you started to pull away.

'I don't want this moment to end, but at the same time, I can't wait to see where we go... together'

Looking up at him you noticed a slight disappointment in his face you smirked and interlocked your hand with his.

"Really can't separate from me for a second huh?" You teased

"S-shut up, I can separate from you."

"Oh really?" You started to pull your hand away.

"wait, don't..."

You stopped pulling away, this time leaning closer to him.

"I'm just kidding, you dork."

"You know... for once I'm glad we're in the same class."

"For once? What's that supposed to mean?!"

Kuroo laughed and ruffled your hair "don't forget, up until now, we were enemies."

"Hmm... well as far as I'm concerned you can be my boyfriend and still be my enemy!"

"Oh? Then you're on, my darling nemesis."

You laughed "darling nemesis huh? I quite like the sound of that."

The two of you kept walking, arriving at your classroom, you both sat down and continued to talk. After a while you noticed the rest of the class staring at you.

"Uh.. why are you guys staring?"

The teacher let out a small laugh "probably because this is the first time you two weren't fighting when you got here."
